Hunter's POV

Two weeks later

"Alpha, we have a situation." Greg announces, smiling.

I look up from my papers, frowning "What?"

He looks down, trying to conceal his laugh "I think you should go to the training field."

Still frowning, I get up and make my way to the training field, werewolf speed. When I arrive, I can't help but smile.

"I will not run 5 miles! I'm not in shape for f's sake!" Calisa shouts at Christian, the PE teacher.

The thing is that, Calisa is hovering a few feet in the air, out of Christian's reach. Christian being a werewolf, growls at her, unable to restrain his anger.

She sneers at him "Don't go all dog on me, you can't force me to run."

"I can and I will!" Christian yells at her.

Immediately my wolf tries to take control, loathing the way Christian is talking to our mate.

Calisa smirks at him "You're gonna have to catch me first."

She then proceeds to lay down in the air, arms behind her back and legs crossed, whistling an unknown tune.

"Come down here right now or you'll have to explain yourself to Alpha Hunter!" Christian threatens.

Calisa bursts out laughing, the sound music to my ears.

"You go ahead and do that!" She replies breathless.

Christian looks about ready to explode and he turns around, finally noticing me. He looks relived and I walk up to him.

"Alpha, please help me." He pleads, looking at Calisa who is still up in the air.

I shake my head "Calisa!"

She lazily looks at me and then at an imaginary watch on her wrist "I'll come down in about an hour, once the class is over."

"Come on Calisa, you have to train with everyone else, you need to be in shape." I explain, trying to reason with her.

She slowly comes down, gracefully landing on her feet. She pops her hip out, and puts her hand on it.

"Shall I remind you that I'm a Queen? I'm pretty sure no one is asking the Queen of England to run five miles." Calisa says.

I sight loudly "The Queen of England is 89 years old, she can barely walk."

"Excuses! You're like 500 years old and still running." Calisa argues.

"That's enough! Start running!" Christian shouts, his face red and the vein on his neck popping out.

Calisa looks unaffected by his tone "You know, your logic is dumb as f. You ask people who by nature are not made to be in shape, to run. Why don't you ask werewolves to do magic, or swim along with mermaids? Because they are not made to do so."

Everyone is silent, obviously at loss of words. She did have a point, and in surprised no one before has thought about it.

Calisa smirks "See? So unless you can win a spell contest against me, I will not run."

Silence surrounds us, even the other students stop jogging and come closer to get a better look. Calisa doesn't know that Christian is actually half wizard, and a really good one at that.

He smiles widely at her "Bring it on."

I look at Calisa, mostly worried, but she doesn't seem scared, she seems really happy.

She nods and takes off her sweater, now standing in front of everybody in just yoga pants and a bright blue sports bra. I growl and stand in front of her, shielding her away from the looks of the other males who seem to be enjoying the show.

"Put your sweater back on now." I mutter, my wolf battling for control.

"Move aside wolfie! I can't enchant properly with you in the way!" She exclaims, putting her hands on my chest and propelling me backwards.

"For this is our fight, raise a barrier and raise it right!" Calisa shouts, throwing her hands in the air.

A big circular shield engulfs Christian and Calisa. I get up and try running towards her but I get thrown back once more.

"Damn it!" I growl out, getting up once more.

"Let's do this." Calisa says, smiling happily.

This cannot be good.
