Chapter 6 - Gig

4 Months Later - Tris POV

Everything has been going great :). Al and I are still dating! Chrissy and I are closer than ever, on that note Chris decided to take up drums as a hobbby and she is Really good. Tobias and I haven't been as close. Which really sucks! But Our Band has got our first gig tomorrow night! Our teacher, Ms. Wu set it up for us! We are having a practise this arvo at my house. Chris really wants to drum, so we'll see what Toby wants to do. Right now I am setting up our stuff in my garage.  My mum and dad extended their cruise and are coming back onn Monday. Caleb is coming home for the week, so he will pick them up. 

"TRISSYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! WHERE ARE YOU?" screams Uriah, gosh that kid.

"In the garage you dweeb!"

"OHHHH I SEE YOU!!!!!!"

"STOP FLIPPING SCREAMING!"

"YOU WERE JUST SCREAMING!"

"Gosh you two are soo weird" exclaims Tobias as he sets up his drums, looking at us, chuckling and shaking his head.

I laugh as well and Chris decides to speak.

"Well since I can now play the drums, I learnt the song Cold Night on it and since we all know Four can sing-" I cut her off there. "Four can what? Sing! You never told me!" "Well I don't think I can but-" he's cut off by Chris. "Shuttup, you two are singing a duet for Cold Night by You Me At 6, work out your parts, then go practise in the basement." "Why won't we be working together?" I ask confused. 

"Because I said"

"I wanna play drums" whines Tobias.

"Too bad, it's just one song."

"we need the bass" Uriah adds

"We'll live"

Gosh she is soo Stubborn!

When we get to the basement, Toby and I work out our parts then we start singing them. We sound really good! 

Time Lapse to Gig

"Everybody, welcome the dauntless to the stage!" There are claps and whoops as we are introduced. I recognise the gang's voices, and Nita brought her friends, nobody can see us because the lights are dimmed.  So Tobias says : "This is for someone. But you'll never know who" we all laugh then set up.

Chris is at the back, Zeke and Uriah are on either side of the stage. But close to the middle. Toby and I are in the middle of everyone.

When Zeke, Uriah and I start playing, the spotlights hits the boys. And when Chris starts drumming and Tobias and I start singing , another one lands on Chris. Cheers and Whoops cry out as we start to sing.

It was a cold night, we laid with each other just to stay warm.

buy now we had turned and we were singing to each other. To others that didnt know us, it probably looked like we were singing to eachother. It felt - right.

It was a cold night, the talk of forever kept us warm.

But even forever, doesn't last for long.

It's a really romantic song, and I love it so much! I don't know if it was just me, but I felt a really strong pull towards Tobias, while we were singing. 

Suddenly the audience errupts into cheers. I almost forgot about them. I laugh and turn to Tobias and give him a hug, but my bass gets in the way and everyone starts laughing. This was the best night ever!!
