Tonight was the very, sole night of sensei's death. However, nobody had a clue. You see, tonight was also leonardo's sixteenth mutation day. And we all celebrated it together. And since today was Leo's birthday, master splinter suggested we stay in the liar tonight instead of going out into the city. So we did.

Leonardo than proceeded to open the present we all gave him. He ripped apart the wrapping paper, tearing it to shreds, eager to find out what was inside the box. He opened the cardboard box, ruffled the paper inside that was holding his present. Then, the biggest smile appeared on his face. He held up a blue knitted sweater that said "SPACE HEREOS" in bolded yellow letter. He was so excited, and his grin was as big as the moon and as bright as the stars reflecting upon it. Sensei then proceeded to smile as well. His whiskers tilted up as he saw us all chowing down on the special pizza we ordered earlier for the party.

Not noticing, sensei slipped into the dojo unseen and the party proceeded as planned. We watched space heroes all night long, which felt like an eternity. Not to mention Leo knew every line, in every episode. Raph was continuously annoyed. That's why he was the first to fall asleep. So it was just me, Mikey, and Leo. I watched Mikey play tricks on raph, and they were trying not to laugh. Mikey eventually fell asleep, as did Leo. I was shocked that I was still awake and that Leo fell asleep before me.

The clock said 6:15. I wasn't even tired and I began to think. I remembered that I hadn't heard from sensei in a good while. I thought to myself, " I better go check on him, see what he's up to." I thought he might be asleep so I went into stealth mode and tiptoed into the dojo. When sensei was nowhere to be found I whispered, " sensei? Master splinter, where are you?" I tiptoed in the complete and utter blinding darkness. When I heard a crumbling sound. I felt something wrinkle under my foot. I picked up realizing that it was a note from master splinter, and it said.

Dear my beloved sons,

I will be long gone by the time you read this letter. Hopefully, I would have fulfilled my duties on what I have gone to do. Do not follow me and do not try to find me. I love you all, my sons. I have trained you into the destined warriors you were all meant to be. Take care of yourselves and remember all that I have taught you.

Love, master splinter

Your father

I could not believe what I had just read. Sensei, gone?! Where could he possibly have gone off to? But I knew I had to tell the others. But something in the back of my head told me not to. At that moment, I knew where he had gone and I knew what I had to do. I didn't tell my brothers because I knew I had to do it alone. No matter how scared I was. I had to be brave, to rescue sensei. So I geared up, and told my brothers goodbye. Fearing the worst for me, and sensei.
