A night...

A night was all you had before the man you had feared for six years came to stay with your family. Ranen, the priest, hand of god, and grey haired bastard of a man was coming to stay with you. Your body and mind curled at the thought of him and little pinpricks of stress and nausea ate away at your stomach because of him. You shouldn't think too much on it. He'll pick a poor soul and leave in no time. What were you worrying for? Oh nothing but the fact that he aided in your sisters turn to discipleship...

You looked up to the beautiful half moon up in the sky, it's light rays hitting your skin and causing your shell to glow vibrantly. The fresh smell of flowers hit you again from your garden as you entered slowly. Ah, it was very familiar to the other night....Your face flushed at the thought. The stranger, Luca, you wondered if you'd meet him again...You wondered as to what his face looked like, what was his life like, and to who he was.

For hours you waited, stuck in thought and hoping that you two would meet again, but alas it was not so. With a sigh, you headed inside and pulled yourself into bed. A dreamless sleep awaited you, cold and dark but also comforting and light. It was probably for the best that Luca had not come...

It was a feast fit for a king.

The morning was busy in the new light of dawn as the L/n family prepared for their very special guest to arrive. Welcoming smiles and aromatic smells welcomed anyone who would step into the home as they'd be greeted with the image of the perfect family. The women were dressed in dresses of lavish colors and delicate gold. The men were suited and fit the perfect image of gentlemen, courteous and charming in every way, shape, and form. You stood with your family, a fake smile planted on your face as a seething dread took place in your heart.

You hid your shell beneath your loose gray blue dress. It's lace hem was black and came down to your knees. A white overcoat fell upon your shoulders to keep out the chill air and golden buttons kept your chest from being exposed. It was a dress that your mother had picked out in hopes of getting you to dress up like the rest of them. She shouldn't have gotten her hopes up.

Your hair was down since you didn't want to mess with it and a pale gloss was placed over your lips. After a while of arguing with your father about how you looked and presented yourself everyone finally calmed down. Nobody payed you any attention as they were all too wrapped up in their own business of getting ready. Your sisters and brothers took up the bathroom's and frayed with each other about who got what and how much time they were to spend in the small room.

'Their vanity really is something to behold' you thought with a sigh.

The only one who seemed ready other than you was your brother, Abel.

A red traditional garb decorated his figure with gold patterns sewn into the fabric. Black button up pants complemented his shirt as his blue shell stood against his back in stark contrast to his outfit. His h/c hair fell into a slicked back style that complemented his e/c eyes very well. It was always effortless for him to look handsome. Something he was just always good at that the rest of your siblings envied. Gregor most definitely seeing as he was the pretty boy of the family. Raising a hand you called him over to say hello.

"Abel, you look well. You've been sitting on that outfit for such a long time. I'm glad you're finally using it."

Abel looked your way in surprise since he had been in deep thought before you came.

"Ah, I guess I've just been keeping this outfit for a special occasion. You know (Name), I'm so happy that this day has finally come. It has been so long since the priest has officially communicated with our family. I want to make sure that his stay here is as comfortable as it can be."
