Jealousy

Ranen was quiet and calm, the picture of a true gentleman as he sat across of the table from Maria. Of course the calm and quiet was all a front. On the inside the mantis was absolutely livid, as he was both tired from being awoken in the middle of the night and furious at the way the beetle conducted herself. To Ranen he thought Maria was nothing more than a common whore.

The young beetle fueled by her own lust came into his room at night claiming a nightmare had awoken her. A nightmare that was apparently so greatly terrifying she had to see him. The priest knew exactly what this entitled, but asked anyway under the guise of seeming somewhat ignorant to what she wanted.

"Miss L/n? Why have you felt the need to call me out tonight? Is something the matter?"

A serpentine smile laced her features as her eyes slid to his own in delight. Nails coated with a deep and dark red slid their way to Ranen's arm like some beast ready to strike. The loose white night gown that barely covered her body slipped down slowly as she spoke with her voluptuous voice and angled her body downwards. Her picture, a white clothed body, was the very mockery of innocence.

"Dearest priest Ranen, I seemed to have had a night terror. It was rather frightening and I thought your presence may ease my fears. Am I mistaken?"

A calm smile slid over his face as those predatory lilac eyes glowed icily. A beast waited quietly within them, assessing Maria. Her hands dropped to the priests lap.

"No, you are not mistaken Miss L/n."

Those hands slid further, the gown dropping lower exposing her generous endowment.

"Please," She whispered.

"Call me Maria."

The gown dropped entirely. To any outsider Ranen seemed to be the portrait of frozen calm, but on the inside he was a mixture of boredom and unsettlement. When looking at your sister he could not help, but think back to you. The poor lady beetle with the crippled wings who he had saved. So modest compared to your sibling. Not wanting to be touched and brave enough to face down a hornet head to head. The priest wouldn't admit it, but he had grown a little bit of respect for you. Of course he still had a task to do, but you did earn it. This respect only hammered in the disgust at how this person was wearing your face.

Sure, it was covered in makeup and slightly more sharp, but the features were the same. The face of the fiercely brave girl who repaid her life debt by standing up for him, just as he had done so for her so long ago. Maria, with those beautiful e/c eyes stared up at him. Your eyes.... Her breast's perked as she laid them against Ranen's chest.

"I've been watching you ever since you arrived." She hummed bringing her fingers around his slender neck.

The amulet beneath Ranen's shirt started to glow dimly.

"The way you conduct yourself, your position, your beauty. You, dear Ranen, have seduced me."

The dim glow scorched Ranen, but left the girl utterly untouched.

"I want to know what you feel like Ranen. How you taste..."

Her red lips pressed themselves against his neck. The dim glow of the pendant had faded, not even staying for a mere minute. Ranen had what he needed. Now to disarm the situation. The priest pushed the girl off of him gently, giving a faked mask of a worried frown.

"Miss L/n...you humble me by your flattery, but I cannot accept your advancements. Besides, were you not interested in the prince earlier?"

Maria scoffed turning on her heel as well as trying to get closer to Ranen.
