Yammy's POV
A week later I get a text from Lauren
Lauren: guys get over here
Yammy: what?
Lizzie: ??
Lauren: ... there here
Yammy: OMG!! I'm coming
Lizzie: see you there girls!
I rush to my car and fly out of the drive and speed towards Lauren's. When I pull into Lauren and Scott's driveway I see Lizzie's car. Lizzie steps out of her car just as I pull up next to her. We both look at each other and smile nervously. When Lauren answers the door worry is all over her face.
"Lauren you look kinda pale" Lizzie says
Lauren gulps and gives a weak unconvincing smile. In her hand I see a yellow folder.
"Is that" i say pointing to the folder
Lauren nods and thrusts it into Lizzie's arms. Lizzie looks at Lauren in confusion
"I can't read it" She says leading us inside and to the couch.
"Where's Scott you think he'd want to be here" Lizzie says
I catch a guilty look pass over Lauren's face.
"Y-you haven't told him?" Lizzie says in realization
"I-I no I'll only tell him if I'm actually..." Lauren pauses her face paper than ever
"Pregnant" I finish the sentence for her Lauren nods and motions for Lizzie to reveal the news. Lizzie opens the folder and quickly says "all clear!"
"She not pregnant?" I ask in surprise
"Nope" Lizzie says but she looks worried
Lauren squeals and jumps up the color rushing back to her face.
"I'm so glad!!" She says
"Me to, but I have to go back to Joel sorry Lauren but I should get going" Lizzie says despite the good news she looks guilty and ashamed.
"Oh okay" Lauren says walking us to the door.
"I should go to" I say catching Lizzie's eye.
Lauren bids us goodbye and closes the door.
"What's wrong why do you look so guilty?" I say she doesn't answer
"Did you lie? Is she pregnant??" I ask my mind racing
"No" she says "Lauren's not pregnant"
"Than what wrong?" I ask
Lizzie takes a deep breath before opening her mouth to respond and I can tell I'm not gonna like what I'm about to hear.
