A COUPLE WEEKS LATER

With a a couple weeks of rehabilitation Isabella had gained back most of her memory. Lauren had fully recovered from her heart attack though doctors still warned her about relapse. Soon Lauren was able to bring Isabella home but this time without Scott. She had cried for hours when she found out that she had lost him the same way she had lost Bobby. But Lauren forced herself to stay strong especially around Izzy. She drove them home and when they opened the door they saw Lizzie and Joel sitting on the couch. They had been house sitting for the past couple weeks while the family was in the hospital. Izzy rushed off to play with Meri who was in the other room. Lizzie took Lauren and drove her to a near by cafe reading her mind perfectly. Lauren was happy to get away and spend some time with her friend. Yammy and Kyle had arrived a day ago to visit Lauren and attend Scott's funeral. Lauren dipped her coffee and chatted with Yammy and Lizzie about anything but Scott and Bobby. They all agreed that the topic would stay out of conversations whenever possible.
A WEEK LATER

The day of Scott's funeral arrived. The day was damp and cold, grey clouds gathered in the sky threatening to poor its own tears onto the attendees of the funeral. Lauren and Izzy places flowers on Scott's grave after the service. Lizzie took Meri and Izzy so Lauren could be alone. She kneeled down and traced the letters of Scott's name engraved on the tomb stone, and soon she started to cry and the sky let go of its tears. Lauren sat crouched in the rain leaning against Scott's grave sobbing. She stayed there for a long while before pulling herself together and walking away.
