The intercom crackled, and Aaron snapped out of his daze, a startled look briefly crossing his face before he composed himself. The intercom repeated its previous message, and then crackled again, signaling the announcement was over. Aaron glanced around the room at the other teens cooly. They all were standing around nervously, unsure of what to do. Great, he'd have to take charge of a situation again.

Aaron sighed and began to head to a door labeled; Testing Rooms, and held it open. He looked back at the other kids, and they were all just looking at him, curiosity in their eyes. Aaron motioned for them to follow, and they all went through the door, none of them saying a word, though the smallest of the group, a girl, nodded her thanks. Aaron excused the other two's lack of manners and followed in after them. As they all began the walk to the testing room, a scientist in a pearly white lab coat appeared in front of them suddenly, causing everyone to stop. The scientist studied each of them carefully, and wrote some things on her clipboard, and then spoke. "I am Doctor Meghan Keagan, and I am the head scientist on our team. I will be directly involved in the experiments on you, and I will do my best to ensure that none of you are harmed during the testing. However, before we can begin, I need to make sure all Subjects are present. I will call out your name, similar to roll call in school, and you will respond with 'Here,' and your animal. Does everyone understand?" There was a rustle as everyone nodded. "Alright," said Dr.Keagan, "Let's begin; Lizzie Strone?" The girl on my far right was the one who responded, "Here, Fox."

"Beautiful," said Dr.Keagan approvingly, "Charlie Erickson?" The boy directly on my right was the one who responded. "Here, Cheetah."

Dr.Keagan nodded and continued, "Aaron Lockwood?"

"Here, Wolf," I said, not even needing to look at my tag for my animal. Dr.Keagan made another mark on her paper and looked up at the girl on my left. "Then I suppose that would make you Lola Misa," Dr.Keagan remarked. "Yes, Tiger," the girl responded, her voice quivering slightly, and her eyes downcast.

"That's everyone," stated Dr.Keagan, "Now we're going to get down to business." Dr. Keagan made a circular motion with her hand, and I saw a shadow come up behind me. The last thing I remembered before blacking out, was the sharp sting of a needle in my neck. Then everything gave away to darkness.
