Dread. That's all you could feel as you stood before the familiar, wooden door of your classroom, palms sweaty and heart pounding in anxious anticipation.
This was the moment.
The moment that would make you or break you. The moment that you hoped you would never have to live through...The moment when you would ask for Park Jimin's help.
You swallowed hard as you watched the young teacher through the small window of the door, gaze never leaving his muscular form as he stretched his legs over the railing that lined the mirror.
It wasn't too late for you to change your mind. It wasn't too late for you to turn and walk away, pretend like you had never even considered asking such a pompous man for help...But you couldn't do that. No matter how much you hated the idea of swallowing your pride and putting yourself at the mercy of your rival...You needed him.
He was the only one skilled enough to help you through to The Showcase....The only one who could keep up with you....He was the only teacher who could actually help you.
And so....with one last deep breath of freedom...You opened the door.
The silver-headed male deep, brown eyes shot up to meet your as the creaking sound of the classroom door filled his ears, his eyebrows raising in amusement as he took in your disheveled state.
You seriously began to reconsider walking out the door as you stared at him. You could already tell that he was more than happy to see you so distressed and anxious...it was almost like he knew the exact reason why you were there.
"Miss Y/l/n?" His tone was dripping honey as he stared at you, a smirk appearing on his features. "To what do I owe this great pleasure?"
You sighed, running a hand through your h/l, h/c hair as you slowly advanced towards him, heart beating at a rapid pace.
"I think we both know why I'm here, Park."
Jimin's eyebrows shot up at your tone. Usually, your words were short and cut to the point, but now you were much quieter...although there was still a bit of hostility in your voice.
"I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about." He stated with a smug smile.
He wasn't lying...he honestly had no earthly idea why you had willingly placed yourself in the same room as him, in fact, he was actually quite confused and baffled by your actions...although he would never allow you to see that...
You clenched your jaw, eyes falling to the floor and sending it a hard glare.
You couldn't bring yourself to look him in the eyes. You knew that what you were about to say-What you were about to do was only going to make you look weak in front of him...and the last thing you wanted was for Park Jimin to think you were weak.
"I..." You inhaled sharply through your nose, gaze hesitantly moving to his. "I need your help."
The young teacher couldn't stop his eyes from growing wider at your words, his outstretched leg falling limply from the wooden railing it had been resting on.
Surely his ears were playing tricks on him....you couldn't have actually asked for his help. That would be...insane. You were headstrong, stubborn and proud....he was entirely sure that he would be the absolute last person you would ever seek help from.
"I'm- I'm sorry..." He breathed out, eyebrows furrowing as he stared at you. "But, what?"
You rolled your eyes, arms crossing over your chest as you ground your teeth together. Part of you believed that he had heard you clearly the first time and was only asking in order to hear the words fall from your lips once more...but the genuine curiosity that settled on his features told you otherwise.
