Chapter 6: Chinatown

Your POV

We stood there, our souls connecting as we closed our eyes. Loki took his hand and cupped my left cheek. He pulled me closer to him, our lips inches apart. "Now if she does it like this. Will you do it like that?" (Shake it by Metro Station) played above our heads.

Imori's POV

I sensed something happening around (y/n)'s room. Me being me I was laying on Dani's bed doing nothing until as my spirit came out of my body. I felt curiosity taking over me. I traveled through the roof and entered her room from the ceiling. I saw them leaning into, I think, a kiss. Oh hell nah! I said to myself. I took out my phone and pulled up iTunes.

I picked the first song I had. Shake It by Metro Station. Yess, this is perfect. I dragged my finger so the song would start in the middle. "Now if she does it like this. Will you do it like that?" my phone played. Loki flinched at the sound of "Now if she" and he pulled back. (Y/n) looked up at me. "Are you serious Imori! Eavesdropping on other people's business!" She yelled. Loki just looked embarrassed, standing there. "What? I was just strolling in the multiverse and accidentally entered your room." I lied. "I don't believe you." (Y/n) said.

I turned to Loki and entered his mind and I said "I swear to the meme gods, if you try to make out with my innocent cousin, I will destroy your innocent little bloodline." He stares at me, scoffs, and replies "Yeah right, you pathetic little mortal." I laugh maniacally and look at him with a death glare. "Try me, bitc-" I was cut off when (y/n) joined in on our conversation that was currently taking place in Loki's head. "Um why don't you guys just talk out loud, you're kinda scaring me Imori." (Y/n) said. I panicked and left the room, returning to my body.

Your POV

I shrugged and went back to reading my textbook. "Excuse me but I really need to study." I sat on my chair and scooted into my desk. Took out my flashcards and started to study them first. I then realized Loki was still in a black suit. "You know you could change into more casual clothes." I suggested still having my back facing Loki. There was a green flash, I turned around to see that Loki had changed.

He was wearing an emerald green hoodie, black jeans, and black sneakers. "That's perfect. We're just going to stroll around Chinatown and have a snack." I said. He nodded, as he was reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on the chair next to my bookshelf.

•Time Skip 2 hours•

Loki's POV

"Take a break, dear." I said to (y/n). She was so focused on her studies that she didn't realize her stomach was growling. I walked over to her and closed the book. "I'm sorry. I'm just so concentrated on this massive test. I mean like, does anyone use the word haberdashery anymore, seriously-" if I didn't cut her off she would just keep rambling on. "I'm sure you'll do great on this test. You're just over working." "But seriously, who uses gondolier?" I chuckled at her response. "Come on let's eat lunch." I said.

We both walked into the kitchen. She took out the pizza from the night before. "Grab your slices." She said, gesturing me to get a plate. We put our pizzas in the microwave to heat it up. Once it was done, we sat down at the dining table. I sat across her, admiring her beautiful features.

After we ate (y/n) threw away our plates. "Ok so it's 2:34. So we should tell the others to get ready in half an hour." she said. "You care so much for your family, that's what I admire about you, (y/n)." I said standing up, walking towards her. "O-oh thank you." she said as pink appeared on her cheeks.

Your POV

We walked towards my mom and sister's room. I knocked on their door "Hey guys, we're gonna leave in half an hour!" I yelled at their door. "Ok, thank you!" they yelled back in unison. "Ok now Dani and Imori." I said to Loki. He nodded and followed me down the hall. "Hey you guys, we're leaving in half an hour!" I yelled. "Okay!" one voice said, it must've been Imori's. "Oh and Dani is training outside, by the way!" She replied. "Thanks!" I said walking away.

I started walking towards the backdoor. "Uh (y/n) I need to tell you something" Loki said as I stopped in my tracks. I turned around to face him. "Yes, Loki?" I questioned, making a concerned face.

Loki's POV

I can't tell her...yet. I need to savor every moment with (y/n) before I tell her the truth. "I must say how ravishing your hair looks in this light. And how your eyes sparkle at this time of the day." I said, refusing my original thought. "Aw thank you, Loki." she replied. She kissed my cheek and headed towards the backdoor. I definitely can not tell her yet. She's too precious.

Dani's POV

I was training with Lola in her garden. Suddenly we are interrupted to see (y/n) and Loki. Me and Lola turn to look at them. We all pause for a slight moment, but the silence was broken by (y/n)'s voice. "In half an hour we leave for Chinatown!" "Great!" I panted, sweat dripping down my forehead. Lola nodded and looked back at me. I faced Lola and say "Arigato Lola (translation: Thank you Lola)."as I bowed. "Dōitashimashite (translation: You're welcome)." She replied. "Your Japanese is getting better everyday, Dani." (Y/n) said. I faced (y/n) and Loki, "Thank you." I said. I gave Loki a stone cold glare, he slightly smiles as he scoots a tad away from (y/n). I return to normal as I gave (y/n) a smile. "Well thank you for letting us know, we'll get ready ASAP." I said. "Ya, no problem!" she replied and walked inside with Loki behind her.

"Why don't we get dressed, hm?" Lola said, facing me. "Yes Lola." I replied. We went inside and headed to Lola's room. Lola handed me my clothes and told me to get dressed in the restroom. I entered the bathroom and changed out of my workout clothes. As I was changing I heard...laughing?

Your POV

Me and Loki entered the living room. "Let's see what's on TV." I said. I sat down on the couch and turned on the tv. I saw Mary Poppins playing, I pressed the channel. The scene was when Bert was dancing with the penguins. "How in the nine realms are those animals dancing?!" Loki said in confusion. I laughed at his question. "Loki, the penguins aren't real. They are animated." I replied. I turned to look at him, he was still confused so I laughed again. "What?" He asked starting to laugh. "You're so cute. They were animated, moving cartoons." I said. He blushed and sat back, kind of upset.

"I'm sorry." I said holding his hand. Someone cleared their voice behind the couch. I turned around to see mom. "Oh hey! You ready?" I asked. "Yup" she replied, giving Loki a death glare. "Okay then, let's wait for everyone else." I said, then everyone entered the room. "Let's go!"

3rd Person

(Y/n), Loki, Dani, Imori, Marissa, Dorothy, Lola, and Lolo exited the house. "Ok, who's going with me?" Dorothy said. "Me." (Y/n), Loki, and Dani said in unison. "Then the rest shall come with me." Lola said hopping into her car. Dorothy went into her car, Dani went into the passenger seat, and (y/n) & Loki went in the backseat.

Once they parked the car in the parking lot, they got out. Lola parked her car next to her daughter's car. "Vamonos! (translation: Let's go!)" Marissa shouted. They walked on the sidewalk and already saw red and gold lanterns hanging from the buildings. "This is a marvelous place!" Loki said, staring at the buildings. "Let's get a snack." Lolo said, leading them towards a Boba cafe.

They entered the cafe and looked up at the menu. "Hmm. I think I'll get (f/d) with boba." (Y/n) said still looking up. "What's boba?" Loki asked. "Boba is a sweet circle gummy that is usually eaten with a drink, such as a slushie." The cashier replied. Loki nodded and said "I think I'll have Green Tea with boba." After they all ordered their drinks, Lolo paid. "It's a gift for those who are visiting for the first time." Lolo said referring to Loki and Imori. They all thanked him.

They walked around Chinatown while drinking on their beverages. Overtime Loki and (y/n) would hold hands without them realizing. "Oooo, look at the stuffed animals." Marissa said as she walked into a store with Dorothy and Lolo. The store was in a plaza. There was a store full of books and kimonos. "I'll be in there." Dani said as she pointed at the kimono store. Lola followed Dani, as did Imori. Loki and (y/n) were left together. "Let's go, shall we." Loki said pointing at the bookstore.
