After our meeting with Mr. Emeka, I realized that something's going on with 'Sandy'

And I need to find out soon. But I have to wait till the end of the week because its test week and Sandra, a straight A student, doesn't like being disturbed during her study hours.

I went back to the hostel to catch a few zees. I wasn't surprised when I didn't see Amy in the room, but I was shocked to see Precious crying.

I hope she's not crying because of Buky. I'm not ready for another emotional breakdown. I'm only fourteen.

"hey Presh, what's up?"

"nothing much"

"I mean why are you crying?"

"none of your business"

"we're besties, so it's my business"

"no, it's not"

"yes, it is"

"no, it's not"

"yes, it is"

"no, it's not!"

"yes, it is"

"are we really going to keep doing this?"

"no"

"hmm."

"okay I give up. If you don't want to tell me then don't. I'm going to bed"

"fine I'll tell you"

Ha

"I really wanted to be on the team"

That's odd

She continued

"I've always wanted to be on the team"

"why?"

"I've always wanted to be part of a team that is important. To be acknowledged by everyone. To show that people know me. Now I know that no one likes me. I'm a nobody."

"that's not true. You're somebody. And I'm not just saying this to make you feel better, I'm saying it because it is the truth. And besides, you're not the only person that wasn't voted. Not to mention you've already got a lot on your plate. You're a potential prefect and your designing for Christmas"

"but Ace and Noah were voted and are new"

"so, who cares? Plus, you've not been yourself lately. You've become less responsible and your concentration in class is dropping. Speaking of which, what's going on?"

"nothing, SS1 isn't as easy as JS3, I guess that's what's going on"

"okay"

Then I went to bed.

I'm just happy that she wasn't crying because of Buky.

**********

I usually spend my free time in the music studio. Playing the violin.

Today, I decided to play Christmas songs.

As usual, there was nobody in the music room.

I picked up the blue violin at the back and began to play. It was more of a freestyle because I shuffled all the Christmas songs I could play on the violin over and over again in different ways. I enjoyed the way the music flowed. In it I felt life and energy. It felt good.

As soon as I was done, I dropped the violin. Then I was startled when I heard someone clap. I thought I was alone.

"wonderful. That was extraordinary."
