They got back to Amie's apartment around 3pm and decided to go sit out on the deck. Amie had done up her deck so it was a better space to sit. There was a hammock and a hanging chair. There were climbing roses on the fence that went around the edge to make sure you didn't fall off and lots of other little pot plants just sitting around.
They all just sat there talking about things. Melaini and Jack were cuddling in the hammock and Noah and Amie sat on the hanging chair his head resting on her shoulder.
"I kinda feel like swimming. That's really off topic, but just though i would let you know how i'm feelin' right now. ya know?" Jack said putting on an odd accent for no reason at all.
Melaini laughed,
"I do but Amie doesn't have a pool."
"No i don't, but there is a pool, it's open for everyone who lives here to use but if you look over the edge you'll be able to see if there is anyone in it." Amie said standing up and walking over to the edge of the deck.
"Is there anyone in the pool?" Noah said he had stood up now too.
"Nope." Amie said smiling and walking inside "I'm going to get changed into my bathers, you can come if you want."
Everyone went and got changed and got a towel and walked down to the pool. Jack dropped his towel and jumped in straight away.
"What?! How can you jump in without hesitating? Isn't it cold?" Melaini said still wrapped up in her towel.
"It's easy if you don't think about it." Jack said swimming to the edge.
"Fuck it" Melaini whispered to herself, dropped her towel next to Jack's and jumped in.
"Oh, it's not even that cold." Melaini said laughing a little.
"yeah i know but now we have to get those two love birds in the pool." Jack said looking up at Amie and Noah. They were pushing each other trying to get the other in the pool first.
Noah- "It's not even cold."
"How would you know
your not getting in." -Amie
Noah- "But Melaini said it's
not cold, isn't that right Melaini!"
"Oh shut up." -Amie
Noah- "Come onnn
just get in."
"If it's not cold why
don't you get in?" -Amie
They pushed each other around for a while Jack and Melaini just sat in the pool laughing at their pointless arguing.
"You guys fight like you've been married for fifty years. Get in the damn pool." Jack yelled out to them. They stopped play fighting with each other and Noah dropped his towel, grabbed Amie's and put it with his, picked Amie up around the waist, carried her over to the edge of the pool and threw her in. He watched her head rise up to the surface of the water and saw the rage on her face. She couldn't keep a straight face for very long as she was looking straight up at NoH smirking at her. He dived into the pool only just missing Amie's head.
They stayed in the pool for hours, splashing around, racing each other up and down the pool, having handstand competitions, doing flips off the edge of the pool, feeling like they had known each other for years.
