[yikes, this is bad. Gonna start picking up next chapter! And it will revolve around Hawks and the mysterious disappearance of the villain, Dabi!]

What happened to Touya Todoroki?

A good question, indeed. One with a long, tragic answer. Though, considering all the circumstances, it shouldn't be that surprising. In his current, non-dead state, anyone could look at him and get a good guess of his childhood.

His mannerisms, his appearance, everything about the boy screamed tragedy. He was a fidgety kid, with insane reflexes that were molded into his body. Carved and marked into his bones like some cruel branding.

The way his eyes shifted constantly, as if always expecting someone to come out and attack him. Under his eyes were dark circles and eyebags, underlining the amount of sleep he usually received. It wasn't as if he stayed up every night like some college student viciously studying for an exam— he just had a weird sleep schedule. He'd sleep for a week at a time, or not sleep for another week. Once drifting out of consciousness, he was usually greeted with some fucked up nightmare that left him crying and drenched in sweat. He was never eager to get some sleep, not usually.

Redish-pink burns littered and scabbed his body. A painful reminder of the fuming failure he was. Or- how Endeavor deemed him as. It was a reminder of all the times his skin felt like it was being peeled off as he was forced to use his quirk. The sinking feeling in his stomach, followed by a rapid burning sensation, that mangled up all of his insides like an egg thrown onto a frying pan powered by hell's fire.

The burning sensation from an hour ago had yet to leave his system, still bubbling around in Touya's stomach like a parasite. He felt nauseous and exhausted, but atleast the pain was dialed down. Mainly because the teacher had cared for his injuries and supplied him with the sufficient amount of pain medication afterwards.

He'd started to think more highly of his new "caretaker", but was still extremely scared of him. At Least Endeavor actually expressed his emotions, even if they weren't particularly good. Aizawa lacked the expressiveness. He seemed grumpy and stern, and that's it. Touya didn't know there was genuine care behind his eyes.

"Touya," The black haired man said, pausing his lecture to the full class of students. "Go sit at an actual desk."

He sighed, pulling his knees closer to his chest, as he sat on the ground, in the corner of the room. He didn't want to sit next to anyone. All the seats by Shoto were taken, and he didn't know anyone else. Everyone stared at him enough as it is, giving people another reason to was foolish.

"Touya." Shoto cut in, his attention directed towards the front of the class. "They don't bite."

Snickering passed through the class, as a boy with blonde hair jumped up from his desk. "Except Bakugou!" He laughed. "If you're not careful, he'll blow you to—"

Aizawa raised his voice before Bakugou, another blonde haired boy, could have a bad reaction. "Kaminari." He looked at the one who spoke first, with a dangerous glare. It was a clear sign that he was actually serious, and wanted him to cease his actions.

Denki basically sank into his chair, as Bakugou started grinning, the built up anger changing into a teasing look.

Afterwards, the teacher realized stopping the class for the guest would be ineffective, as he was more stubborn than he initially led on. He continued his lecture about Heroics and battle strategies.

Then came lunch, something that usually stressed Touya out. Now that he was surrounded by a bunch of strangers, the stress was increased dramatically.

Shoto made him sit down at a table with some of his personal friends. The green haired kid, Izuku. The brown haired girl, Uraraka. And the blue haired kid with glasses, Iida. Touya sat between Izuku and Shoto, and across frok the other two.
