Chapter 16: twin sister

Addilyn's POV

Nakauwi na kami at tanging ang necklace lang ni Caydence ang nahanap namin. Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko pag nawala si Caydence.

Ilang buwan na lang mag bebente na siya at hindi pwede mangyari ang sinabi ng doktor. Hindi pwede.

"Ma! kailangan na natin mahanap si ate!" naiiyak na sabi ni Ingrid

Nandito kami sa kwarto ng hotel. Ginabi na kami at nakakagalaw na ang mga police. Sila na ang tutulong na maghanap kay Caydence.

"Ingrid we will find your sister. we promise" sagot ni Matthias

"but when dad? after how many weeks? she can't turn 20 without her by our side! She can't wake up without us by her side when she turned 20! we all know that! We all know what will happen when she turn 20" naiiyak pading sabi ni Ingrid

"We won't let that happen Ingrid" sabi ni Matthias at niyakap na si Ingrid

"I can't afford to lose Caydence, dad. I can't" humahagulgol na sabi ni Ingrid habang naka yakap kay Matthias

"we won't lose her Ingrid, we won't" sagot naman ni Matthias

"Lennox anak dalin mo na sa kwarto si Ingrid? Pagpahingahin mo na siya." sabi ko kay Lennox

"opo ma"

Inakay niya si Ingrid papasok sa kwarto nito.

Dun na ako mag overthink

"w-what if it happens Matthias? what if what Ingrid said happens?" tanong ko kay Matthias

"you have to be strong for Ingrid,Lennox and of course to Caydence. We will find her"

"but what if we don't? it will happen Matthias!"

"i know. but we need to stay positive. we will find her as soon as possible!"

Niyakap ako ni Matthias.

"Matthias. I can't afford to lose her. I don't want her to end up like Candy." sabi ko ng maalala si Candy

"she won't! she won't end up like Candy"

"Remember what the doctor says? their brains is not strong enough! by the age of 20 they will completely forget everything! EVERYTHING Matthias! When Caydence turn 20 she will slowly forget everything. Cady died at the age of 6 not just because of that stupid sickness in the brain but because of her heart! Her heart did not function for 5 seconds! and because of that 5 freakin seconds she died! Without us knowing that she died! We only figured out that she died the next day! We could have saved her if we have known that she has a heart problem. What did I do to deserve this? I've been a good mother. If only I could be on their shoes. Just for them not to experience too much pain. I love them so much. And I can't afford to lose any of my kids."

"I know honey, I know. Let's get some sleep? We will continue finding her tomorrow. I promise that."

Papasok na sana kami ng may kumatok sa pintuan. Baka si Crosby o kaya si Skylar ang kumatok.

Bigla namang lumabas si Lennox mula sa kwarto ni Ingrid. Napatulog na niya si Ingrid.

"I'll get that" sabi ni Lenoxx

Naghintay kami kung sino ang nasa pintuan. Pagkabukas ni Lennox walang bumungad na tao sakaniya.

"hello?! is anyone there? Ma wala namang ta-" hindi niya natuloy ang sinasabi niya ng may naapakan siya

"M-ma may itim na.....envelope m-ma" sabi niya habang kinukuha ang envelope

"kanino galing anak?"

Mukhang kinakabahan na siya at nilapitan ko siya. Ibinigay niya sakin ang isang pamilyar na sobre. Binasa ko ang nasa likod nito.
