Sweet Iced Tea

Knock knock knock.~

"Yes? Come in!" Yelling, I look over to my door. It opens widely to reveal my smiling brother.
"You going anywhere today since we have no school?"
"I told you already.. I'm hanging with a friend today." He sits on my bed.
" Oh What friend?."
"Just a friend."
"You mean, Felix?"
"Yeah.."
"I think you'll have fun. Im not worried."
"Really Johnny, hes a boy remember?"
"Well sure,  Im not too worried with him, but with Mark, thats another story.." My brother pauses almost hesitating before he beginsto speak agian."Y/n, dont get upset, but I may have glanced over at your phone yesterday.."
"You did WHAT!? JOHNNY! I dont glance around at your phone. Its called PRIVACY. "
"Its not like I read through your conversation. Please, calm down.. Well at first I looked because you haven't really smiled like that since..you know.. your mom. But I read it briefly to see that you weren't texting Felix nor Lisa.. You were texting Mark."
"John, before you get it twisted, I really dont like him like that, I dont have any sort of feel-"
"No, I think you are developing feelings, Im not stupid.. I saw you two texting each other with my own eyes! Looking at you than to him, I catch on very quickly. I told you to becareful y/n. Mark isnt a good guy like he gives him self out to be. Pull your feelings away before you hurt yourself..Its for your own safety. Im not mad at you for feeling that way, but you need to understand Mark thinks this is all game. He will have no mercy for you even if you are my sister. Okay?"
I nod looking down.
"I dont care if you like someone, just not him." He starts to walk out and shut the door.
I see where Johnny is coming from. Maybe I am developing feelings. Maybe hanging out with Felix will push me away from all of that and hopefully it clears my head before I do mess up. All in all, Im glad Johnny was being somewhat civil with me about it. I trust Johnnys judgement more than my own. My brother's initiation is mostly always right. Mark isn't a good guy, and I need to get that through my head. Screw his game, Im not falling for it. Im not ketting this boy win me over in such little time. That would be pathetic of me.
"I should get ready." I tell myself.
As I get dressed in descent clothes I blast my music and begin to get ready. Soon my appearance becomes that of a normal girl rather than a monster whom arose from hibernation.
Putting on my coat, my phone vibrates.

Lix: Yo Im down stares. Hurry Johnny is asking me all these questions.
Me: Im coming.

I grab my purse and head downstairs to see Felix and Johnny in conversation.
"Y/n! Your here, finally." My brother looks to me and claps.
"Yeah Yeah, Lets go Lix."  he nods. But before we walk out the door my brother called out to us.
"Take care of my sister or Ill beat your ass! Also, Dont stay out too late.." He waves and closes the door behind us. Felix shivered and begins to speak.
" Oof, your brothers scary. Come on, we got to get going before he comes back."
He grabs my hand and leads me into the car. For about an hour we drive silently listening to music, than arrive over to a small park.
"Oooh a park! How cute. Lets go! Theres swings! Hurry Lixie!" I smile excitedly.
He chuckles as we get out of the car. I run up to a swing set and set my self on one of them. Lix follows me and sits besides me.
"So what else are we going to do? Not that im complaining, its is nice here." I ask swinging my legs to gain momentum.
"Well, we are going to see that new marvel movie later."
"Really!?"
"Yeah, did you not want to?"
"Of course I want to. Ive watched all the previous ones when they first came out."
"Its starts at 5 so we have a bit to chill."
We stay at a peaceful silence until Felix breaks it.
"Look over there." He points over to the right side of us. I turn my head quickly in the direction he pointed. It was an ice cream truck.
"Oh my god, I haven't seen one of those in years!"
"Do you want one?" I nod smiling.
"Of course!" He laughs softly, getting up and walking towards the truck. After a bit the brunette hair boy comes back with two cookies and cream ice cream cones.
"Here, I forgot ask what you wanted so I got you my favorite." I grab it from him and smile.
"Its okay, I like this flavor anyway, you did good."
We sit for a bit chatting, hearing about where he was from, and reenacting old vines we used to watch, all the while enjoying our ice cream. He looks at the time, " We should get going now before the movie starts."
"Lets go than."
Before we headed off we threw away our trash and head back to the car.
