Leading man - He should be dreamy. Perfect or not but one thing is for sure, he will be hot. You can base his personality or physical aspects with someone you'd like. Someone you prefer. Could be a man you know or the guy you admire. It could also be a celebrity. Or you personally [If the you are a male writer]. You can describe him like describing a mirror. Give him a detailed description. It's the key to trigger the reader's imagination and will think of him often.
🌸 Take note that most percentage of people reading wattpad are girls so in able to catch their attention is to woo them with a dreamy lovable hot leading guy 🌸
Leading lady - She has to be unique. You can describe her like describing yourself and your best assets/attitude [If you are a female writer] but either ways she had to be appealing, in the positive way. Give out descriptions e.g clumpsy, talkative, loud, or arrogant. Something like that. Just don't mixed it up. Or have too much attitude in one character
🌸 Take note that if you succeed in making the perfect fictional main girl in your story, female readers would think they're cool and will imagine the next scenes in your story as if they were the leading lady 🌸

Antagonist - The best way to make his/her character work is to make the readers hate them. It's the antogist all. The more hate-able, the better. Also don't be timid to bully the protagonist. After all, it is the antagonist's job to make the protagonist's life hard. Mold your own antagonist. They are mostly known as fierce.
If your antagonist is a girl. Best way to spice her character up is to make her character a bitch, or flirty, or cold. And list goes on with negative attitudes in order to make her character hateful.
If your antagonist is a boy. Mold him into a jerk. Becaude it's his job to separate the lovers in the story. His motive is to prevent a happy ending. Make that motive clear to the readers. Surely your readers will rage.
Plot twist!
The boy antagonist could also be dreamy. Opposite of evil. This will confuse the readers as whom the female protagonist will end up with
