Chapter 3

"I once believed that my first love will be my only love"

After getting in, the servant asked jennie to wait at his study room as she tells her that she will let taehyung know about it.

Jennie walk around scanning his stuff while waiting for him.

"I finally get to see you after so long" taehyung smile widely as he walks in.

She turns around and forces a smile.

"I need money" she gets to the point straight as she doesn't even feel like spending a second more with him.

He smiles bitterly.

"I really need money, tae" she repeated it.

He let out an angry laugh.

"right, of course. If not why would you be here" He walks over to his study desk and signs on a small piece of paper.

He walks back and hands a piece of paper to her.

"sign on it," he says.

She looks at the paper and looks at him.

"and this is yours, fill in any amount you want" he pushes the empty cheque with his signature on it to her.

She can't believe the man standing in front of her was in fact the same age as her, his coldness appearance and stony-hearted character make him look way more mature than his actual age.

"I don't want to sign on this," she said as she pushes the form away. The form that signifies that she agrees to marry him in exchange for the money.

"then you can leave," he says and swipes the paper off the desk.

"tae, i really need the money..." she shamelessly says, unwilling to leave but also unwilling to sign the form.

"either you sign it and get the money or you can leave," taehyung says it once again, taking out his stick and lighter to light on it.

"you are still the same" jennie furrows her brows and sign on the form as she got no other choices.

"don't get me wrong, i ask you to sign the form because i want to ensure you wouldn't run away, not because i still love you" taehyung let out a laugh.

"the day you repay the debt is the day you can get away from me" he smiles knowing that she wouldn't be able to pay the debt and inhale the stick before exhaling in front of her face, causing her to cough.

After getting the cheque, jennie informs her mum and rush to the hospital together with her. They waited outside the hospital for almost 6 hours. Jennie's phone was ringing non-stop and her mum was very pissed at it. She takes her phone out and saw 2 missed calls from jisoo, 62 missed calls and plenty of messages from jungkook. She switches off her phone and slides it inside her pocket as she wasn't ready to face him yet.

When the doctor comes out with nurses by his side, jennie and her mum run to him and ask about her dad's condition. The doctor only shakes his head and say he tried his best. "what you mean you tried your best?! go back and operate until you bring him back alive!" her mum shouted. Jennie stands beside her and holds onto her, trying to give her support.

"you want money right? jennie go pay for another operation" her mum slap jennie's arm, trying to push her off her but jennie refuse to let go of her, it was as if she moved away that moment, her mum will fall straight on the ground. Jennie stood there and let her mum hit her for 5 minutes straight before her mum started to feel weak and her slap got weaker and weaker as she hasn't eaten anything yet.

After that, jennie and her mum moved over to taehyung's house as their house was no longer theirs. What's waiting for jennie to face wasn't just her dad funeral, but also her engagement party and her graduation party that she wasn't in the mood of going.

Jennie take a deep breath and knock onto his door. After hearing him saying come in, she opened the door.

"tae, can we postpone the engagement party?" she asks timidly.

"no" he answered coldly, didn't even bother to look at her.

"but i got to --" before she can finish her sentence, taehyung cut in "leave now and close the door please, i have got other things else to do"

Jennie wanted to ask him to wait till her graduation but he was too stubborn to even listen to her. He was still the same guy she broke up with previously, that stubborn, that heartless.

Taehyung slowly opens the door and tiptoe in the room, trying his best not to wake her up. He slowly sits beside her, taking a small amount of space on the bed and admire her.

"if time can rewind, i wouldn't question you that time," taehyung says softly before leaning in to kiss the tip of her nose.
