"maybe its meant to be"

Jisoo slams hard on the desk when she saw jennie is dozing off.

"you want to get fired by the boss?" she giggles while saying.

"stop it, i am really tired" she let out a yawn and stretch her hands high up.

"don't force yourself, just go back" jisoo is trying her best to convince jennie as she really can't bear to see her working out 3-4 part-time jobs just enough for her to pay her house rental and the maid at home.

This one month is really enough, jennie has gone through a lot and she realizes that maybe something is really meant to be. She gave up trying so hard working 3-4 part-time as she got a feeling that if this continue, she will collapse and she can't afford to collapse, she got to take care of her mum still.

"how does it feel to come back? jisoo teases.

Jennie can't deny the fact that she feels happier here, even though it is more complicated here, but perhaps she is already used to this kind of environment and its less tiring to work here.

"jennie delivers this Hennessy over to 311" a girl called as she was delivering another drink to another table.

"okay" jennie slide a lighter in her pocket, as from her experience, people here often request to help them light up their stick.

She knocks 2 times and went in.

After she places the Hennessy down, she wanted to leave but was drag by one of the guy and he forced her to drink with him. If it was the past jennie, she would definitely slap the guy on his face and run off but she isn't that jennie anymore.

She sits down beside him and started drinking with him. He offered to toast with their arms intertwined and when she was drinking, she felt a hand roaming her bare thighs, she holds onto his hand to stop him from moving up further while she tries to finish up the drink faster.

After finishing, she forced a smile and place her glass and his glass on the table. When she looks up, jungkook was looking at her. They stared at each other for at least one minute, perhaps both of them didn't expect to see each other here. Jennie had imagined tons of different scenario of meeting him again but this was never in her mind. The guy beside jennie stand up and hang his arm over jungkook "yah why did you go toilet so long? i thought you sneak away"

"ohh, i can't find the toilet" jungkook let out an awkward laugh, his eyes still fixed at jennie but she didn't dare to look at him.

Jennie sits there, didn't dare to move an inch. As they were talking, she was listening attentively. She wanted to know how if he is doing fine but from what she had seen, he is living way better than her.

She wanted to leave so badly as she can that feel jungkook's eyes is always on her. As if someone had heard her, a girl opened the door and pop her head in "jennie, someone appoints you to accompany him, at 322"

when jennie was about to stand up, jungkook push her back down. "i want to book her tonight" he says and takes out his black card from his pocket. The girl chuckles at his eagerness and says "first timer? you pay her the money not us" before she closes the door and leaves.

jungkook rub his nape awkwardly and went back to his seat. Not just jennie face was red, jungkook's ear was red too but thanks to the limitation of light, no one can really see it.

As if the guy beside jennie can feel the awkwardness, he keeps asking them to drink to ease the awkwardness.

Jungkook was racking his brain, trying to think of a way to start a conversation with her but he doesn't know how. He takes out his black card again and passes it to her. She furrows her brows, refusing to accept it. At first, he thought she doesn't want to accept it because of their past, so he tries to stuff her the card, forcing her to accept it.

"you scare her" the guy beside jennie stand up and slap jungkook's hand off her.

"they only receive cash" he digs a stack of cash and passes it to her.

The word they not only hurt her, but it also hurt jungkook. But the guy isn't wrong, she isn't any different from those people that are earning these easy money.

After drinking, jungkook offer to send her home but she says she still got shift later on. He nods his head, but when he was about to leave, he remembers he had booked her.

So he ended up sending her home, the ride was quiet, none of them initiate a conversation and jennie was looking outside the window throughout the ride.

"here?" he says and stops his car in front of the old building that was just 5minutes walk away from her working place but he purposely drives around the neighborhood, pretending that he got lost.

She nods and thank him. When her hand was trying to unbuckle the seatbelts, his hand holds onto hers, stopping her from unbuckling the seatbelts.

"you changed a lot," he manages to say out.

"you too," she says while looking in front, refusing to look at him.

He leans his back on his seat, forgetting that his hand was still holding on her hand. It might have been long but the feeling of him holding her hands wasn't unfamiliar to him as he hasn't held any other girl's hand after breaking up with her.

"don't you want to invite me up to your house?" he turns his head and looks at her.

"not convenient" jennie say and remove her hand from his grab.

"is-- there other ---- customer in your house?" jungkook asks but instantly regret.

jennie didn't answer his question, she forced a smile, unbuckle her and get off the car.

Looking at her walking in, jungkook can't help but sigh. After her figure was no longer in his view, he drove his car off.
