Today was the day of luring the man out into public but the plans were starting to change. Both Ashton and I's parents were here and wanted us to spend some time together before the wedding.
"You guys are both going to be on the roof and spend time with each other."
"I agree." Ashton's mother chimed with mother's statement.
"I kind of liked the original plan better."
"So did I." Agreed Ashton.
All the parents looked at each other before Ashton's father spoke. "You did break up with Erika right? He did, right May?"
I looked at Ashton and his eyes told me the answer along with his fathers question. "I didn't even know he was dating someone before."
His parents let out a relieved sigh. "That's good. But back to what we were talking about. You guys are both going to be on the rooftop. That's final."
"And Mia can lure the man out." Suggested my parents.
"Fine."
"Ok."
"Now you guys go get ready and be ready for the meeting in a few days."
We said goodbye to our parents and got ready for our date as our parents called it. For the oh so special occasion, neither of us changed. I grabbed my jacket and he grabbed the sniper guns.
"Let's go."
I followed Ashton out to his car, a different car, and got into the passenger seat. The snipers were set in between us in the middle. It's easier to grab in case of an emergency.
On the way there neither of us spoke until a song came on. When it came on I started to sing like there was no tomorrow.
Shawty had them Apple Bottom Jeans (jeans)
Boots with the fur (with the fur)
The whole club was lookin' at her
She hit the floor (she hit the floor)
Next thing you knowI continued to sing until Ashton turned it off. "What was that for?"
"You suck at singing." I glared at him and turned the radio back on. I was slightly angry for missing some of the song.
and the Reebok's with the straps (the straps)
She turned around and gave that big booty a smack (a smack)
She hit the floor
Next thing you know
Shawty got low low low low low low low lowI got slightly more mad when Ashton turned the radio off again. "We're here."
I followed him inside the building where he spoke with the manager. Eventually the manager stopped trying to persuade Ashton into investing into his hotel and showed us to the elevator.
"I hope you change your mind Mr. Gray."
"Maybe someday sir. Please have a good day."
"You as well sir."
As soon as the elevator shut Ashton asked, "Did you get them?"
I held up the keys which I took off the manager when he was talking to Ashton.
"Good."
We went up to the top floor and walked to the end of the hallway. At the end of the hallway was a door which led to more stairs up to the roof.
"What did this man do again?" I asked while setting up our position.
"He stole from us and thought we wouldn't catch it. Mafias are supposed to stick together but I guess he didn't get the memo."
"Sounds about right. As many people who are loyal, I can't believe the few who would turn there backs for more money. Or anything really, unless they were threatened. Then I can understand it slightly but they still have to be killed."
He looked deep in thought taking in my words. "Yeah." I'm guessing he didn't expect me to understand the whole brothers and sisters until the end thing.
Ashton sent the gun up in the correct position pointing right at the entrance of the club. We were going to wait for Mia's cue that she is with him, then we will stand behind the gun ready to shoot.
I took a seat on the backside of the building on the edge. Night was starting to fall and the sunset was beautiful. It's fiery red, orange, yellow, and pinks all mixing and blending in with one another combined with the city lights and buildings just added on to the sight.
All the bright lights, the colors, your hand, holding mine
It was a beautiful dream
One I didn't want to wake up fromPeople always told us dreams come true
but they forgot the most crucial part
They forgot nightmares were dreams tooCause now this dream is turning dark
And I'm beginning to fall apart
Waiting for you but you never seem to show
And I guess this is how life wants to goI was going to continue singing when I remembered Ashton was still here. I turned around to face him and he was staring at me.
"I hear you singing quite often. Why?"
"Huh?"
"You sing all the time making up songs. Why do you sing?"
"I-It helps me release my emotions instead of bottling them up. And it's relaxing." I stated after thinking about it for a moment.
"I-" Ashton started before his phone rang.
He hung up and told me that Mia was ready. We both got on our stomach with the gun in front of Ashton. I still don't see the point of me being here when I'm not needed.
Before long Mi walks out with the man and he looks like a creep. He looks to be in his mid fifties, white thin hair, looks really boney from up on the building, and his smile kind of put you on the edge.
When Mia moved to the side, Ashton took his opening and shot at him. The bullet went clean through his head. He dropped to the ground and Mia disappeared.
With it being almost pitch black, nobody was outside to witness what happened. The gun also had a silencer so nobody would hear where the gun went off.
Ashton picked up the gun and started to descend down the stairs. I made sure to get the keys and lock the door. Before we saw someone and we were at the bottom floor, Ashton put the gun outside the window and we would pick it up on the way out. The best part is all the security cameras were turned off so nobody could know it was Ashton who made the kill.
Everything was going great until halfway through the drive home. There were cars which had been following us for the past 15 minutes. 3 of them.
Sorry for the wait. I'll try to publish sooner but I can't promise anything. Thank you for your support. Vote, comment, and share if you liked the chapter.
