Chapter 20-Mr mind my business

Franco's POV,
           I picked up my phone and accepted the call but it was an unknown number
"Hey Franco it's me Ashley, Good morning" She said.
"Good morning to you too Ashley" I replied.
"I have been calling Hailey but she is not picking up, I wonder where she kept her phone so that's why I called you. Do you mind passing the phone over to her please" She said.
"Oh no problem ok, let me walk up to her room don't hang up" I said before getting up and walking towards the staircase, then I thought, now I have to meet cranky Hailey. Come on that girl can be so annoying sometimes but at the same time she's so beautiful too, you know what am just gonna ignore her. I don't want to get in any argument with her so minding my business is better.
    "What, you guys are becoming friends" my subconsciousness said. "Fuck that, I don't care anymore she's so annoying she doesn't even respect me and I know if I deal with her she's gonna respect me and obey me but then again she's Hailey the very stubborn Hailey who's my wife" I replied mentally.
"Could you just try to be friends and you are also not the best person to be around with"
"Who's side are you on and the last time I spanked her she threatened to kick my ass if I tried that again, no girl as ever tried that with me but she did" I replied.
"Well she his Hailey just be nice, she ain't no submissive"
"I know she's way too stubborn for that but I'm still gonna ignore her at least I tried being friends" I snapped out of my thoughts when I was in front of Hailey's door, I knocked and I think I heard a come in so I opened the door to review Hailey sitting on the bed with her back resting on the headboard of  the bed while Trina laid on her lap while she fed her with her bottle of baby formula.
"Why are you here" She asked as she raised her head to look at me but I just handed my phone over to her but she just gave me a confused look considering her both hands are in use.
"I can't hold the phone my both hands her occupied and who his on the phone anyways" She said.
"I know and it's Ashley" I said.
"Ok, take Trina and feed her" She said and I did just that so she can speak with Ashley.
"Hey chipmunk, I know you called to check up on your baby and I can assure you we are doing just fine" She said to Ashley over the phone after I handed the phone over to her.
"My phone, oh I think it's in my room somewhere sorry about that I will get it, but I was feeding Trina before you called but I had to hand her over to Franco so I can answer you" She said and I could hear Ashley say thanks a lot from the other side of the phone.
"It's nothing, she is really fun to be around with" Hailey said.
"Ok, go do your job" Hailey said.
"Yeah" Hailey said before Ashley hang up.
"Take your phone" She said with a smile handing my phone over to me but by this time Trina was done eating. "Why is she smiling at me now as if she wants to talk to me, as she forgotten what she did a why ago" I thought, I took my phone and handed Trina over to her.
        I went downstairs immediately before Hailey could even say anything to me, well am trying to mind my business. I got to the sitting room and saw Toby still watching the movie, We both watched the movie but after sometime he got a call from his office and had to go for some important meeting which he forgot he had according to him. Which made me bored again, hanging around this house everyday is kinda boring and now am also hungry. I told the newly employed butler to get me something to eat and he did just that. I was eating my sandwich peacefully before I saw Hailey coming down the stairs with Trina in her arms playing with her shirt "Must she come downstairs to annoy me arrrggghhh at least I can play with Trina" I thought.
"Franco I want to talk to you" She said and sat by the other side of the couch I sat on but still maintained her distance.
"What do you want to talk about"I said in a cold voice.
"I know you're angry for what I did this morning but come on you were just trying to order me around and I am still kinda angry about this marriage OH who am I kidding am still angry about this marriage thing so when you were talking to Toby about it I just got pissed I don't know why but I am sorry and please stop ignoring me. I know you are, I tried to talk to you in my room but you just left like you didn't care that I was about to say something to you plus from this little time I have spent with you I know you like chatting or talking a lot even when I am annoying you or not, you still talk to me but you didn't do that"  She said.
"I'm just minding business and I don't like talking. Funny enough you're the only one apart from my friends and family I am not cold to. Sometimes I'm even cold to my friends and family when I feel like but I just feel like not being cold towards you, so don't take it for granted"I said coldly.
"Now you're being a jackass" She said.
"You deserve it"I said.
"And I apologized for what I did but can you stop being a big baby and accept it" She said.
"You're calling me a big baby and you want me to accept your apology"I said.
"Pretty much" She said with a cute face "awwwn she's so cute" I thought.
"Stop giving me that face" I said sternly so I don't show her that what she is doing is actually working.
"So you're not gonna talk to me even for Trina's sake" She said in a soft voice and pouting not knowing what effect this had on me "ooooh why does she have to have this effect on me"I thought.
"Ok fine but I am angry about the marriage too but am willing to make it work if you willing too" I said.
"As in, you want us to be a real couple" She asked surprised.
"Yeah why not, we are already married and I don't believe in divorce so let's just try to make  it work" I said nonchalant.
"I'm not ready for that and I can't stand cheating in a relationship" She said.
"I won't I promise I only did that because I only have flings and I am not used to relationships. I also wanted to make you angry by still having flings after our marriage but I guess it didn't affect you and I didn't want this marriage to work but after I spent time with you I got to like your personality so I don't mind trying to make it work" I said.
"Well because of your flings thing you do, I got slapped, also you get angry a lot too and I can't stand that side of you, you know that right"she said.
"I know and am sorry for that I promise to be a good partner if you are willing but mind you it's gonna be my first relationship" I said.
"Hmmmmmm But I just wanna be friends I don't want to obey every single one of your demands because I know you love being in control or should I say you love to dominate" She said and that stung like did she just reject me.
"Well ok"I said.
"When was the last time you got laid" She asked out of the blue.
"What" I asked.
"You heard me" She said casually.
"I just wanted to confirm and that's private"I said.
"Awwwnn Franco is being shy" I just gave her an amused look.
"You don't want to be a real couple so what's your business with my private life" I said.
"It's kinda my business I don't think you want to make this marriage work but you just want to get laid because you're horny and that's why you played this card" She said and gained my angry look.
"Oh sorry I didn't mean to upset you but I was just stating the facts" She said nonchalantly and I'm gonna prove her wrong.
"That's what you think that's ok but how about I prove you wrong by been a real couple without being intimate until you want us to be"I said.
"I will think about it" She said.
"Ok then"
"Hold Trina" She said while I took a bite from my almost half sandwich.
"I am eating" I said but before I know Hailey snatched the sandwich and put Trina in my lap so I held her. She started munching on my sandwich and I just stared at her surprised by her behavior
"What I was hungry, learn to share Franco"she said.
"I do share but"I said.
"But what Mr mind my business" She asked jokingly.
