Chapter 24-The bet

Hailey's POV,
"Hey guys this is my friend Toby and Toby meet my squad which is THE squad to be in if you ask me" Timmy said emphasizing on the "The"making everybody laugh.
"Hi Toby" Sydney said bringing her hand forward for a handshake, they shake hands and I noticed she winked at him probably giving him green light. This girl is just a handful, I must say. We all said our Hi's and even shook his hand before he realized I was one of Toby's friend while he shook my hand.
"Hey Hailey" He said with a smirk.
"So what do you say on that date" He said and I glared at him and everybody looked at him confused.
"She's married and you look familiar have I met you before" Riri replied.
"Maybe we have met before or maybe not" He said while the waiter handed his drink over him.
"So speaking of marriage guys Franco told Hailey he wants them to be a real couple" Riri announced and Toby almost spat out his drink making me smirk. Normally I would be mad at riri for telling my personal stuff in front of a stranger but thankfully it's Toby and I know he already knows that this is a contract marriage.
"Hailey that's nice that you guys are getting along" Justin said.
"Yeah" Sydney and Timmy almost said at the said time.
"Wait that can't be, he his my friend and he told me himself that he doesn't like you" Toby said.
"You are Franco's friend? Wait! Now I know where I remember you from, you where at the wedding and you are asking your friends wife out, are you insane" Riri said and I know she's starting to get pissed by Toby's action but I just held her hand to assure it's cool and I got this under control.
"It's a contract not a real marriage" Toby shrugged.
"Well that's known of your business" I said.
"Hey dude chill" Timmy said but Toby didn't seem to want to listen.
"Do you think he likes you and that's why he wants to make the marriage work? So let me tell you a little something baby, he just wants to get intimate and don't think Franco can ever fall in love with anybody because he is a playboy who is not ready to back down" He said and shrugged.
"I don't need him to fall in love with me and if I really want him to he would, just saying " I said getting really pissed. "What is this dudes problem he is so annoying" I thought.
"Oh really, you wanna bet on it" He asked.
"Now that's enough guys" Justin said and the rest agreed but I was too angry to back out now.
"Yes" I said with a smirk and I felt as Riri held my hand shaking her head no and I shouldn't do it but I needed to prove this jackass wrong.
"Well that's good, so if you can get Franco to fall for you and when I mean fall for you he is not gonna cheat too I would give......" I cut him off by saying
"I don't need anything from you I just wanna prove you wrong and make you know your place" I said.
"Well suit yourself then but if I win you get to go on a date with me and give me 1 million dollars" He said proudly earning gasps from my friends.
"Greedy much Toby" I teased.
"Pretty much, so is it a deal?" He asked.
"Yeah it is" I said and I can see my friends shaking their head in disapproval.
"Hailey I need to warn you, don't fall in love" He said sheepishly.
"Oh don't worry Toby I don't fall in love" I said.
"So Toby man I didn't invite you here to come make a bet with my butter scotch" Timmy said disapproving of what he did.
"Well I didn't plan on it dude but am glad I did" He said with a wide grin.
"Excuse us" Riri and Sydney said and dragged me to the Toilet.
They dragged me to the toilet and just kept glaring at me
"Stop glaring at me and just speak all what you want to say" I demanded.
"Why did you agree to the bet Hailey, how do you think Franco's gonna feel when he finds out that you made a bet with his friend to make him fall in love with you" Riri said trying to prove a point while Sydney was in approval of what Riri said. And all what she said got me thinking too.
"You should have just ignored him, I don't even know why Timmy brought such a guy with him" Sydney said.
"I wasn't thinking, I just wanted to prove him wrong, what should I do guys" I asked.
"Go tell him the bet is off" Riri said.
"No I won't do that, I am gonna prove him wrong" I protested.
"Ok then, we are your friends right, so we are gonna support you" Riri said and Sydney just nodded.
"I love you guys" I said and hugged the both of them.
"So how long is the bet" Sydney asked.
"I don't know but I don't even want him to remember that there is no particular timing so I can have enough time to turn a playboy into a faithful husband" I said, then chuckled.
"So guys let's go back to the club to have some fun!!!!!!!!!!!" I squealed.
"Yes baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" they squealed too.
On my way home I couldn't get my mind off on what happened at the club and on how I am going to win the bet. When I got home it was about past 10pm "So am pretty early considering I went clubbing" I thought. I walked into the sitting room and saw Franco watching Tv and I watched him looking at me from up to down, taking in what I wore. So I thought on carrying out the bet already and start being very nice to him, I guess, well let's see if it's going to work though.
"Where did you go to dressed like this" He asked eating his popcorn seated on the couch watching a movie but you could sense he was getting angry because of how his jaw clenched.
"Did you hear me" He yelled I forgot to answer him I was kinda lost in my own world thinking about the bet and all.
"Baby am sorry I dressed like this I know you don't approve of this" I said, remember I said I am going to be nice, well am being nice.
"Did you just call me baby" He asked surprised and walked over to me where I stood almost at the middle of the living room.
"Yes I did why are you so surprised" I asked pretending as if that's how I normally act around him.
"I have to be because before you left the house we had a fight about the real couple thing. Wait are you drunk because you don't even smell drunk, so are you ok" He asked and touched my forehead with the back of his pam to checking if I am actually ok which made me laugh at his reaction to what I told him.
"Yes I am ok and about the real couple thing" I said.
