Leo's a fun person to have around, I learn that in the next week of being friends with him. Max and Will instantly love him, he's a great house guest. He's a good person, and know that I've thought about it soberly, I know I don't have feelings for him. The kiss was just that, a kiss.

Noah- is gone. He never texted me back after I turned my phone off and he hasn't dropped by the house in the past week. Will called him to find out what was up, but he just told him that he was fine and that he'd be back soon. I feel so stupid. I wanted this, didn't I? Him not here 24/7 with all his mixed signals. Or maybe I want him, just, how he was before he left. But I know now that they're intertwined. You either get Noah and the confusion, or nothing at all.

On Sunday night, I'm in the kitchen with Max cooking dinner. It's a tradition that we all have dinner together on Sunday nights, and it's my turn to cook tonight. "What's on your mind, buttercup?" He asks as he finishes tossing the salad.

"Nothing, just tired." He doesn't believe me, but I'm happy he doesn't say anything as Will walks in, hanging up a phone call.

"Ronnie, set out two more plates, will you?"

"Is your girlfriend coming over?" I tease, and he rolls his eyes.

"No, Noah's back and he said he's bringing someone else." Why does that still make my heart beat a little faster? I was the one that told Noah it was a mistake, so I shouldn't be the one with regrets. And I don't regret anything, I just wish everything could go back to the way it was. I try not to think about him any more as I grab two more plates, but one question plagues my mind.

Who's he bringing around?

The doorbell ringing shakes me out of my thoughts, my heart beating faster. I ahve to catch myself as I look into my reflection in the oven door, hand reaching up to fix my hair. Jesus christ, Ronnie, handle yourself. Will goes to get the door, and I hear him greeting someone, and the sound of heels. "Welcome back man, everyone's in the kitchen." I act like everything's normal when Will walks back in, Max shooting me a look as Noah walks in behind him, his hair wet from the rain outside and a leather jacket thrown over a white t-shirt. But I'm paying mroe attention to the girl under his arm, a drop-dead gorgeous girl with flaming red hair and bright blue eyes. "Ronnie, is dinner almost done?"

Noah's eyes lock onto me and I try not to look, but when I do, there's nothing in his eyes, nothing at all. And I think this is good, he's gotten over it, everything will go back to normal. Then he smiles calmly and laces his fingers through his mystery girl's hand while still looking directly at me.

And fuckity fuck, he's far from over it. "Yeah, I'll bring the pasta out in a minute, go sit down." Everyone leaves but Max, who looks like he's ready to fight. "Calm down, Max-"

"Did he really bring a girl here just to pull that shit?"

"Come on, be the bigger person-"

"He's fucking 6 foot 3, when have I ever been the bigger person out of the two of us-" I shut him up by handing him the big bowl of fettucine.

"Just go give them pasta. And please don't spit in his, I can't handle this tonight. Leo's still stuck in traffic and I'm gonna have to go out there soon." Max huffs, but gives me a short hug before going out. Balancing the bowl of salad and another one of breadsticks, I head out to the dining room.

Max has got the pasta out to everyone and is sitting down next to Will. Noah and- I still don't know her name, are sitting across from him, leaving an open spot by Max and another one opposite Will. "You really outdid yourself this time, Ronnie," Will says, his mouth half full of pasta.
