I went back to Granny's around lunch time and Peter sat in his spot, watching me but his eyes weren't so hard and serious this time but they weren't gentle either. I sat silently and ate the chicken and fries as everyone watched me as well. I was trying to cut the cravings in half and I should have had it down by now. I mean, I've been a vampire with a second chance for what two weeks now? Ugh, this is such a pain. Taking the glass of water and sipping some, I looked up to see that Peter boy staring at me as the other boy from this morning glared at me. I looked away and looked up before I rolled my eyes. That's when Doctor whatever his name was smiled down at me and sat in my booth.
"Do you need something doctor?" I asked him clearly uncaring.
"Yes, I would like to know something about you, for my files. As a psychiatrist, I need to know at least one thing about everyone in the town."
So, the humans have resulted into this.
"Something about myself, huh? Alright, the shoes I'm wearing, $500 boots, oh and, my hair is completely natural. Happy?" I said throwing my fork down onto the plate as Ruby came over to take it away.
"That's not exactly what I meant, Miss Pierce. I meant something personal. Something I could use to help you in the future, if needed to." He said and behind him, I could see Peter leaning closer to the window as if trying to get a better view of me and my reaction.
What should I tell them? No, scratch that. I know exactly what to say, or lie about.
"Fine. I'm an only child. My parents died wrecking off a bridge." I said thinking that Elena wouldn't mind me borrowing her history not that it really matters. I could've used any story.
"See, Miss Pierce, that wasn't so bad, now was it?" He asked with a smile while looking relieved.
"Can I be excused now, doctor?" I asked slightly annoyed. Trust me, it wasn't him. It was Peter and that other boy two rows behind him.
"Of course Miss Pierce. Have a nice day." He said before I got up to walk out of the building.
It didn't take long before I had some unwanted visitors follow me from Granny's.
"So, your last name is Pierce." I heard Peter say from behind me. Ugh, he smelled so bad, his blood I mean.
"Oh look, you found another clue! How impressive." I said with sarcasm.
A tow truck rushed next to me as a boy, about twenty or so, smiled at me and completely ignored the boy behind me.
"You're Miss Pierce. " I nodded at his comment.
"I found your car at the town line." Before he could speak, i interrupted.
"Good, let's go. " I said getting into the passenger side of the truck.
He didn't hesitate as he rounded the truck and sped away from where Peter stood, looking unhappy.
"Man, that was close." the boy said as he fake wiped his forehead.
"So, has anyone found out? " I asked the boy next to me.
"No, no one suspects you, Miss Katherine. You haven't been here that long and it's as if we're back in Mystic Falls again. "
"Good" I smiled knowing that my plan was working as we drove to the town line.
"Still, they're making this too easy. We must be patient and wait for the right time to strike. Do you understand what you need to do, Kegan?" I looked over to the boy with stern eyes. He nodded as he stopped on the road where the town line was. On the other side sat the car I stole.
