I walked the streets of what looked like an empty town of Mystic Falls. Newspaper flew around me as the street lamps just turned on. I knew I was dead because it felt that way. A part of me felt lighter, like a huge weight was just lifted off my shoulders. There was a beautiful sunset in the distance has the clouds were different shades of purple, pinks and gold. It was such a sight to see that I didn't know if this was hell, limbo or heaven. All I knew is that for the first time in a long time, I felt at peace, even if it wasn't the place I expected to be. I could hear a light and slow melody play in the background as i turned the corner to see a familiar face sitting on a bench. Knowing that there was a slight chance of never escaping him, I walked over to his body.
"I'm guessing by the way your here, is that you actually died this time." I commented with humor in my tone as I glanced at Peter Pan.
"My dear you guessed right, presuming you're dead as well, again." He smirked back. The air between us felt different this time too. It wasn't as evil like.
"How long have you've-"
"Been here? Not long after you, love." He cut me off and answered my question quickly as we both stood up at the sound of a portal appearing as a white door.
The door opened slowly as a bright light shown though, the other side looking like a sky full of clouds. A green meadow appeared as well as we both glanced a peek inside and watched a young woman coming running through the tall grass. She came through the door with a long light blue dress on and flowers in her hair. I felt tears rim my eyes again as the sight of Nadia sprung through the door like a fairy.
"Nadia" I sniffed back and wiped tears from my face. Her smile was warm and bright as we embraced each other tightly.
"Hello mother" I could hear her smile and it warmed my heart even more.
"My darling daughter, how I've waited for this moment to come. Oh god, I don't deserve this." I cried letting my feelings show.
"Yes, you do and who would I'd be to ruin it for you. This door is for you Katherine, always was." I heard Pan say as Nadia and I turned to face him. I glanced to Nadia.
She could see the question in my eyes and nodded.
"You finally deserve this." She said as she pulled me by my hand and guided me to the white door. I was almost through, but pulled back a little, Nadia giving me a horrified expression.
"Just give me a second Nadia." I said before walking back towards Pan.
It didn't take long for me to figure out what I wanted to do as I pulled Pan closer to me and kissed him. He was surprised for a second before returning the passionate kiss back. I knew there was always some kind of pull towards him that I ignored. But if this was the final time I'd see him before moving on, I knew it had to be something he remember. Letting go of his face, I pulled my lips away from his. I looked back to Nadia as she held out her hand for me to take. The door was about to close on us as I listened for Pan's final words.
"Say you'll remember me, Katerina Petrova."
The End my friends :)
