The next morning I shared breakfast with Granny and Ruby and was about to put a piece of fruit in my mouth when all of a sudden we heard screaming and a crash. I played along to the game and followed Ruby outside to see Henry getting into a fight with some of the boys that follow Peter around. I stood by the opening of the Inn as Ruby and Granny ran over to stop the boys from beating up Henry but were constantly pushed back. Felix kicked Henry hard in the stomach while he was on the ground. After that, Henry looked like he couldn't move and I was sure there was a crack after that kick. Mustering up some pride, I strolled over like I was on a catwalk and pulled Granny to the side, entering the circle.
"You are nothing compared to Pan. None of you are." Felix said with disgust as he went to hit Henry with his club.
Within a second, while using some vamp speed, I had taken his club and smashed it into his stomach as Felix went flying backwards by the impact.
"Ruby, get the kid to my room and stay there. I'll be up in a minute." I ordered Ruby. I heard their footsteps enter the Inn as the door closed behind them. I kept my sight on Felix.
"Stay out of this Pierce. That boy is our concern, not yours!" Felix screamed as the boys around moved back a little.
"Too bad, I'm concerned now." I said before Felix snapped and came running towards me. He swung his club and I grabbed it like it was nothing. I went to pull it forward and kicked him in the stomach. Once again, he flew backwards and this time, into a car.
When Felix didn't get up fast enough this time, the boys around me moved to each side of Felix and crouched down. I took this as an advantage and started to head inside Granny's Inn. Before I could get completely in, Felix's warning ringed in my ear.
"Don't think you can get away with this! Pan will punish you!" He screamed out as I slammed the door shut and ran up the stairs to my room.
Ruby had Henry sitting on my bed as blood ran down his nose, past his lips, and onto his clothes. I noticed bruises start to form on his right arm as well. Ruby looked up at me with worry.
"It's true what he said. Nothing's getting past Pan."
"I can handle myself Ruby but right now, it's Henry's turn." I walked around the bed to pull out some a bottle of an elixir that a witch gave me.
"What is that?" Henry asked.
"It was given to me before I came here. The person who gave it to me said it will heal anything. All you need to do is drink it."
"I can't do that." Stubborn kid.
"And why not?"
"Because of Pan. That boy is the one who cursed this town. Whenever we get punished, our injuries cannot be healed because Pan won't allow it." Granny explained.
"Well, I don't care about Pan. So, we're going to do this my way. Will you at least give it a try, Henry?" I pushed the subject.
"You're not afraid of what Pan will do to you?" henry asked me as he took the small bottle from my hand.
"I've had many enemies, Henry. Besides, he still doesn't know much about me. So I promise you, I'm not afraid." I said with a smile. And it was true; I wasn't afraid.
We all watched as Henry shrugged hsi shoulders and drank the entire bottle. Waiting for a couple seconds, nothing happened until Ruby pointed down at Henry's arm. The bruise started to disappear and the blood that was once on his face vanished as well.
