I felt a gentle breeze brush against my face, causing me to slowly open up my eyes. As my vision adjusted I was staring up at a blue cloud filled sky and not a cold ceiling of a ship. Looking to my side I saw I was laying in rows of wheat. Suddenly I remembered something and looked down at my chest. I was wearing all my gear, my hands were stained with blood, and my jacket had two tears in the chest area. Putting a hand under my shirt I felt my chest, thankfully there no holes... Taking a deep breath I tried to sit up. With a groan I could now look over the rows of wheat. I was in a field. I could see a shack in the distance, and it looked... familiar. It was almost calling to me. I got to my feet and stumbled on my first step towards the shack. Thankfully I caught myself before I face planted. I began to find my feet again and continued on my trek towards the mysterious shack.
Nearing the shack I stopped and stared. Looking up at the roof. On the peak of it sat a statue, it was that of an eagle. Back home on my grandfathers farm there was a shack that had an eagle statue on it... I slowly walked towards the door, and putting my hand on the wooden door I pushed it open. With a slow, long moan the door creaked open, to reveal a normal looking farm shack. Tools, a workbench, sawhorse, and a few broken picture frames hung on a wall. Moving into the shack I approached the picture frames. Some were hung crooked more than others. But looking closer at the pictures, I noticed a small child in one. The black and white photo showed an old man with a small child on his shoulders. I sucked in a quick breath as I slowly reached for the picture. The photo was of me and my grandfather. This brought back repressed memories. When I told my family that I had been drafted for the military my grandfather went on a tantrum swearing up and down about how hitler would cause his only grandson to be killed senselessly like how my uncle was killed when he recklessly signed up for the 'great' war. Upon returning from my training for the military I learned that my grandfather had suffered a major heart attack and died the day before.
Gritting my teeth I held back a tear. "I'm sorry grandpa...." I said softly before I felt a cold chill run up my spine and the hairs on my neck stand straight. "I've been waiting for you Erwin Hengst..." A sweet and calming voice said from behind me. Setting the picture of my grandfather down on the bench I turned around. Standing there stood a familiar yautja. It was that female yautja, who suddenly Burt into flames. Lighting up every crevice of the shacks interior, she wasn't wearing anything to cover her features as she stood there staring at me. I narrowed my eyes and stared. She seemed to chuckle as she then began to walk towards me with a sort of in my words 'seducvtive' stride. As she neared me so did the flames. Taking a few steps back until I backed up into the work bench. A chuckle escaped her. "Fear not Erwin Hengst I'm not going to harm you." She said in a calming tone. "How do you know my name?!" I said trying to sound intimidating. She simply chuckled as she drew closer, her flames enveloped my legs but I felt nothing. "Silly ooman, I know all." She said as she began to lean forwards her chest as at my head height but I tried to only make eye contact. "I am Kayana Goddess of war, fire, and emotions for example rage, love, obsession, and passion... also I'm the patron goddess of dance and music once in a while." She said while continually leaning closer to me. Her body was almost pressed up against me, and to be honest, I was uncomfortable about this. "Kayana quit toying with the mortal." Suddenly spoke another soft voice. Looking in the direction of the door to the shack stood another female yautja clad in heavy robes that coveredher from the shoulders down. She was taller than this... Kayana.
"Aaaaah, Lil-ka you've finally joined me and my little mortal." Said kayana, dragging an index finger down the middle of my chest before turning around to face the new yautja. "Atleast make yourself more presentable to the mortal..." Replied the aptly named Lil-ka. "Ugh, you're no fun sometimes, you need to... Live a little." Kayana said as her body was quickly engulfed in flame before quickly disappearing. Her 'features' now covered by a leather top and loin cloth. "I do not stoop down to such levels temptress." Lil-ka retorted before turning to me. "Forgive me Erwin, I am Lil-ka Chief Goddess of Life." She said as she approached. "I, don't understand, why am I on earth when I was with Zan'tui up on the hunting ship minutes ago..." I asked as I looked at both of the 'Goddesses'. "Well ooman that's simple. You're dead, and I chose to bring you here after sifting through some memories during your younger years." she answered casually. I however was dumbfounded. So I'm dead well I guess I had a decent life, however I didn't sire any children... That I know of atleast. "You can stop thinking to yourself, we can hear your thoughts." Said lil-ka who moved to some of the pictures on the wall of the shack. I silently nodded.
