"Who are you!" I shout. I look at the maid behind him lying on the ground unconscious.
"You don't need to know,"the man said while holding a knife.
He pushed the door open and was preparing to attack me, when Timothy thrusted the kitchen knife into the man's chest. He fell down and groaned. "Arghh..."
The knife fell on the floor and Timothy kicked it away and quickly grabbed the man from behind and said on him.

I froze. What is happening.

"Quick, get the ropes from the storage room next to the room you stayed in," Timothy says.
He man startled around and shouted: "Get off me!"
"Quick!" Timothy shouted again.

I hurriedly ran and grabbed the ropes.

"Here," I say while I handed the ropes to Timothy.
Timothy tied the intruder's hands on his back and pulled him up. He knocked him out with some strange hand move. He still had the kitchen knife planted in his chest.

"Stay in the living room and bring the servant girl inside," Timothy says while dragging the intruder to one of the rooms on the same floor.
The servant was regaining conscious and I helped her to stand up. Helping her helped me to calm my own mind.
"Are you alright,"I ask.
"Yes,"she says. "What happened?"
"I'll explain later, but first get inside," I suggest.
"Okay," she answers while still being confused.
She comes in and I lock the door.
The servant sits on the sofa and looks around. I walk to the kitchen and pour her a glass of water. I hand it to her.
"Thank you," she answers.
"You dare to receive a drink from Lady Ivy without thanking her?" voice suddenly says. It was Timothy. He rejoined us in the living room.
The servant got surprised and lets go of the glass. I somehow managed to catch it before it hits the ground. Nice reflex, Ivy. The servant immediately bowed.
"I'm so sorry, Lady Ivy," she says.
Timothy sits down next to the servant.
"It's alright," I say while putting the glass down. "Timothy, you shouldn't scare her like that."
Timothy laughs. "Sorry, couldn't help it."
I look at Timothy. Timothy is an odd person. One moment he is a jokester and another moment he becomes a super strong ninja.
"What are you looking at, princess," he says with a confident smile.
"Nothing,"I say while looking away.
"Have you finally fallen for my looks?" he then says while putting a lock behind his ear.

I blush. It was true Timothy was quiet handsome, but I'm still not sure about what kind of relationship he and Ivy had, so I have to just see him as a friend for now.

"Anyway. I knocked the intruder out for a moment. I want to interrogate him before I call the royal guards," Timothy says in a serious tone.

"He is still alive?!" I ask suprised.

"Yeah,  I did not stabbed anything vital," Timothy says with a goofy tone.

Such a scary and weird character.

The servant still not understanding the situation, suddenly remembers why she came to the mansion. She immediately stood up.
"You can't. You have to prepare for the feast, sir!"she says.
"Take Ivy first,"Timothy urges.
"I'm going to hand him to the guards and walk to the North Wing myself. No need to escort me," he says.
"Yes, sir," the servant says. She bowed and  grabbed my hand and walked me to the door to head to the North Wing. I look back at Timothy.
"Don't worry! I'll see you soon," he says with a wink.

At the North Wing...

Female servants surrounded me and they began to undress me.
"What are you doing?!" I shout in panic.

Gideon's POV

"I absolutely hate it," I say irritated. I was looking at myself in the mirror. They gave me a dark blue tuxedo with little snowflakes here and there imprinted on it.
"I think you look rather dashing, sir," the servant who helped me said.
I sigh. "Thank you, mr. Jones. I'm going to present myself to the King."
All the servants in the room bow. "Alright," Mr. Jones says.

I make my way to the King's chambers.
Why I was chosen as one of the champions? I'm not sure myself how that happened. Yesterday the King and I were discussing the arrangements for the wedding when the Queen walked and suggested I lead this year's party to fulfill the prophecy. The King thought it was a bad idea at first, but then he thought it would be a great opportunity to show my strength and prove to the people of Aestas I will be a worthy King after I marry princess Sienna. Althought, I low-key get the feeling the Queen doesn't like me very much.

When I arrived at the chambers a guard told me where I could find the King. I knocked on the door.
"It's me Gideon, sire," I say.
"Enter,"the King answers. He was sitting behind a desk writing.
The king rose from his chair and greeted me with a smile.
"Gideon, you look dashing,"
the King says with a smile. "Are the rest of the champions ready?"
I nod. "Almost, sire."
"Good," he says. "I want you to be seated in the same carriage as my daughter Sienna. You never know what kind of dangers we will encounter in Hiems.
I nod again. "We are taking the sky route, correct?" I ask.
"Yes," the King answers. "But you never know what kind of surprises Queen Gwendolyn has prepared for us."

Later that evening...

"Everyone ready?" the King shouts from the front carriage where he is seated with the Queen.
"Yes, sire," we all shout.
And the carriage goes up into the sky. I look outside and can only see thick layers of clouds. We're going to the feast in the Hiems Realm. Will she be there too? I don't know why, but she has been on my mind ever since I met her. Those beautiful purple eyes.

"Gideon, what are you looking at?" Sienna asks me.
"Nothing," I answer.
"We haven't really talked, since the wedding was planned. How are you feeling? Are you excited?" she asks.
"Yes," I answer.
"'I see..." Sienna says. "Can I lay on your shoulder and take a short nap? I'm really tired."
I nod. It felt like hours had passed, but we finally arrive at the gates of Hiems.
