"Dad!" I screamed in disbelief. My father entered my room.
"What's wrong, dear? he asks.
"Did you add these pages to your draft," I ask surprised.
He shook his head. "I saw it on my computer too. I thought you wrote it," my dad said confused. "I didn't," I told him.
He laughed. "You are messing with me right?" "No dad, I'm serious," I answer.
"I'll check tomorrow with my team. May be one of the editors got inspired. It's late. You should rest," he said after giving me a goodnight kiss. "Don't stay up too late," he said before he left the room and closed the door. I sighed. This is so odd. I read the added pages again. So Gideon thinks I'm beautiful. That's a nice compliment. But was it all just a dream of a strange fantasy of mine. Or did I wrote these newly added pages unconsciously? I don't know. I'm too tired to think clearly. I got in bed and closed my eyes. I don't even remember falling asleep. I was just so tired."Is she okay?" I heard a older woman ask. "I guess so,' he answered as he left the room. Wait a minute... I recognize that voice. I heard a door slam. I opened my eyes. "Oh no. No. No. No," I opened my eyes and looked around me. It was an elegant room. More like suite. The style of the room reminded me of the hospital wing I was staying in. "And I'm back in the book," I said under my breath. "What did you say?" Gideon said as he re-entered the room. "Nothing," I said with a smile. Ysabel calm down. Maybe this is just a dream. Or my mind is playing tricks on me. "Okay. If there's nothing you'd like to say, I would like you to explain how you disappeared and reappeared when you fled," he whispered. Shoot. How do I explain that? Even I don't have an explanation for it. I decided to tell the half-truth. "To be honest. I only remembered I tripped and hit my head really bad," I said. "Interesting," he answered. "Where am I?" I asked. "In my room at the palace," he answered with a smirk. What. Why am I here and in his bed?! Did we... I sneakily looked under the sheet. Great trousers are still on.
He laughed. "Don't worry. I'm a gentleman."
Oh I almost forgot. I'm wanted in this world. The queen wants my head. I quickly hopped off the bed and stood in a defense position.
Gideon laughed again. "If I wanted to turn you in, I had already done it." That makes sense. "Why didn't you?" I asked. He thought a while. A few moments later he said: "I guess I'm finding you entertaining." He did think I was beautiful. However, I should not stand our from the rest.
"You're mistaken. I'm just like the rest," I said coldly.
He smirked. "Here's the thing. The queen ordered me to leave with a search party at dawn to look for you. Then before I go to bed, I find you lying in my bed unconsciously. Since it's a room with a powerful lock how did you get in? And how did you enter the palace without anyone noticing you?' He looked me in the eyes intensely. I looked away. "I don't know."
It was the truth. I had no idea what the heck was going on. Why am I here again? Is this all a hallucination? It should be, right?! Since elves and magic only exist in fantasy books and movies. I slapped myself across the cheek. It hurt. Does that mean this is real? I slapped myself again. "What are you doing?" he said as he walked towards me and stroke my cheek. I flinched. I walked towards the door. Before I could reach the door he blocked my way with is arm. Our faces were really close to each other. "I don't think it's a good idea to wander around the palace if you are wanted,' he said with a serious tone. He is standing to close. I felt my cheeks turning red. I could feel his breath as he spoke. I took a step back and tried to calm myself down. "What do you suggest I do then?" I asked. "Spend the night here," he said.
