Chapter 1: Old Nightmare, New Prison

My legs waver beneath me as I run through the damp halls of this prison, the name of which I have already forgotten. A smell that can only be described as death reeks in the air, so pungent it's as if I could taste it. My heartbeat roars in my ears as the pain ridden cries of other inmates can be heard from the cells around me.I have to keep running. I can't live another day here.I have to get out. I have to-

"Oh Jyugo~ Don't ya wanna play with me more~ Or have I grown too boring for you?"

That voice. That sing-song voice will never leave me, no matter where I run. No matter how far I go, his voice is always right next to me. The steps of the blond male pursuing me only push me to sprint faster, a vain attempt to escape. Before I can even process what is happening, I am on the ground, with an aching head and the wall only a foot in front of me.

"Awwww~ Did poor little Jyugo run into the wall? Are ya hurt anywhere? No? Don't worry, I can fix that."

I scramble to get up, the adrenaline and fear rushing through me, but it's too late. My vision fades as those green, snake-like eyes capture me in their gaze.

"Oi, wake up! We're here!" A tall, like really tall, man with an angry expression etched onto his face is next to me.

"Um...here…?" What happened to my pursuer? Where am I? What-

"Nanba Prison! Man I know inmates are stupid, but this? This is going too far!"

Prison? Now that I look, the temperamental man in front of me is in a uniform. I guess I got caught...again… Well, another prison is really just another place to escape from, so let's see how long they can keep me in.

"Yah! No need to act like you're on your period! Or are ya~?" This man obviously has no chill because he seems to get even angrier than he already was, if that's even possible.

"Oi! Shut up before I shut you up myself!" With that, he grabs my wrists, not so gently may I add, and places handcuffs on them. Why I didn't already have them on is beyond my comprehension. He pulls me off the boat- wait a second, boat? Well this is new. This is gonna be harder to escape from than I initially thought.

After that angry skyscraper of a guard was done pulling me around like a rag doll, we ended standing in front of an ugly grey building with a large black 13 painted on it. I was shoved to another guard as the guy on his period left for the boat again. The new guy's uniform was slightly more, how do I put it, fancy I guess?, than the other man's, so he must be higher up in the prison hierarchy.

I lean forward and look upward as I make eye contact with the gorilla of a person in front of me, "So, are you my new supervisor?"

I watch in amusement as his eyebrow twitches. "Yes. I am Sugoroku Hajime, supervisor of prison block 13."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I guess that angry skyscraper was supposed to tell ya that I'm your new inmate. I guess he was too distracted by his man period to remember." I shrug my shoulders as I go to walk past...uh...Hajime? Yeah that sounds right, Hajime. I stop short as I feel an arm preventing me from walking.

"You go by Jyugo, correct?"

"Yep."

"Your new inmate number is 15. You will be placed in cell 13 with 3 other inmates." With that, he let me go. As I walked into the building, I could hear him behind me. Eventually, he ended up leading me since I don't really know where to go yet. We arrive outside a pretty normal looking door, but little did I know that the inmates I would be sharing the cell with were…not so normal.
