"Hello young ones," the woman smiled. She slammed the crystal barely an inch from the ground. But that made us slam down to the ground, hard. Than, she pointed the crystal at something behind us. Then, we started to go into a cage.
Then, she set the crystal down, making us free to move again.
"My name is Serenity, but you can call me Sere," Sere said, "and please. That was a masked move. Such weirdos, you know?"
"No, we don't know," Meagan sassed.
Sere raised an eyebrow. "Ahhh. The infamous Meagan. I heard about you dear. And you must be Asher. So nice to meet some hero-to-be," she laughed, "but unfortunately, I need to talk to Asher, will you may?"
I saw the guards pull Meagan away while she kept yelling, "Sere, you get me back there right now old lady! And I mean it!"
"Meagan!" I yelled.
"Now now dear. Just calm down. Calm down," Sere soothed.
"No! I'm not following your hypnotic series again!" I covered my ears.
"Who says I'm trying to hypnotize you?" Sere asked.
"Nope! Not following it! La la la la la la la la la la la la!" I yelled.
"STOP!" She yells and I stopped yelling. She gives a cruel smirk.
"You see Asher, as long as I have the ball, I'm in control. You cannot escape The Him. The only way to escape is to join," she whispered. I heard a loud scream and Meagan came bursting into the room. She tucks into a ball, and rolls.
She grabs the crystal and smashes it onto the ground making Sere fall to her knees. My eyes widen. Then Meagan picks it up again and crashes it to the ground. It shatters in a million pieces. Then the world swirls around and the broken pieces start to float.
"MEAGAN!"
"ASHER! WHAT'S HAPPENING!?" Sere started floating up too. Then, before my very eyes, the world split in half completely! I screamed and sat up. I was on the floor, alongside Meagan and Sere. Sere's face looked softer and more caring. She looked up at me and her eyes began to get teary.
"Asher," she whispered. Suddenly I knew.
"Mom!"
