Grace dropped a glass of wine on the table and dropped down beside Tobi.

'Look at Precious.' He said as he pointed to Precious who was busy with his phone.

They laughed.

'Baby Precious.' Grace called.

Precious frowned.

'Mummy! I told you I'm not a baby anymore.' She said and continued with the phone.

'That's your business. No game after dinner.' Grace said sternly.

'Please.' She pleaded.

'Come on, let her just play for a while.' Tobi joined Precious to beg.

'Okay.'

Grace sighed.

'My company wants to form an alliance with Lane's PR Firm. It's not us directly anyway, but we merged with Travis Media company.' Grace said simply as she relaxed on the chair.

Tobi took his glass of wine, he was careful not to choke.

'Can you imagine? I was put in the representative team because I have history with them. I can't believe I'll have to see Clara and the rest. I really wanted to delete them from my memory.' She ranted.

Tobi cleared his throat. This situation was not the moment to tell her and if they were to meet representing their companies, it was definitely the wrong move. He would tell her but not now. Maybe at his family dinner on Saturday, it should come before their official meeting.

'Well, it might not be as bad as you think.'

She nodded. 'Maybe but still, this is the same people that made my life a living hell. Enough of that anyway, what's up?' She said and placed her hands on his laps.

He looked at his laps and held her hands.

'My family dinner is Saturday and I know it's short notice but I want you to come with me.' He said looking at her.

She smiled and it encouraged him. For a moment, he forgot his heart was heavy.

'You know, I'll get to officially introduce you as mine.' He said and touched her chin. She smiled and looked at Precious who paid them no attention.

'That sounds fun.' She said. 'We will be there.'

'Great and I shall be expecting you and Precious.' He said and gave her a quick peck.

It was Friday, Grace felt the need to change her hair-do for the dinner with Tobi family. She rushed her work at the office. The meeting they had with Travis Media, they concluded to have their official meeting with Lane's PR Firm on Monday. Immediately, the meeting was over, she left the office and headed for the hair saloon.

'I thought it was you.' Theresa said as she turned to Grace. They sat next to each other at the saloon as different stylist worked on their hair.

Grace sighed. 'Now, I have to see you here.'

'Oh, please. Don't act like you are better here.' Theresa hissed.

'Please, this is a public place.'

Theresa laughed.

'Oh. So because you are fooling yourself around with a big man, you think you are on top the world.' Theresa clapped her hands.

'Theresa, don't cause a scene here.'

'And what if I do? Will you tell your CEO boyfriend? Nice Grace, your freakish way won't leave you. It doesn't matter how hard you polish yourself, okay? I won't be surprised if he turns out to be another Michael because he is just too perfect for you and way out of your league.' Theresa blabbed.

'What is wrong with you? You act as if you are one little miss perfect, you and that orphan you call a child.' Theresa added.

'Theresa, respect my child!'

Theresa hissed.

Grace wasn't sure how she knew Tobi was a CEO but she could sense jealousy and anger from her. She kept quiet, it was best for now.

She opened a magazine and went through it, she wouldn't let Theresa get her head or push her to the wall. They were both silent and Theresa said nothing more but Grace could feel her malicious eyes on her, she wasn't comfortable with it but she would never again give Theresa the satisfaction she yearns for.

After an hour, the stylist finished Grace's hair. She paid and stood up to leave as she got to the door, she felt a shadow behind her but didn't turn until she heard Theresa speak.

'I know what you are doing, I'm never blind to your fake charms. I heard you got fired just as I predicted and now you are trying to seduce the CEO so that he can call you back and then you take over. Grace, have a little self pride.' She blabbed on.

Grace was at this juncture, confused.

'What are you talking about?'

'Isn't he the CEO of Lane's PR Firm? You don't know eh?' Theresa said maliciously.

Grace staggered mentally. She held the door knob.

'You don't know what you are talking about.' Grace said holding down whatever rage she was feeling.

Theresa scoffed. 'Oh, I do. With the look of things, it seems like you didn't know that your handsome friend or boyfriend owns the company.' She said and placed her hands on Grace's shoulder. 'Seems you've been fooled again. Poor you.' She said and returned back to her stylist.

Grace battered her eyelids.
