Grace smiled as she, Tobi and Precious walked the stairs that led to the house. She remembered her first time in this house, the event wasn't nice, she recalled how she ran down this very steps with tears in her eyes. It was all behind her now and she was thankful for pulling through it with the right decision- to be with Tobi, the one she loves so much.

Tobi looked at her and smiled, she smiled too. Precious held onto their hands as she was at the middle.

Grace has been anxious and worried. She worried that his parents may not like her, she worried they may not like the fact that she has a child, she worried her background doesn't match up to his wealthy own. She worried she wasn't the elegant match for him.

'Grace, hey. Ease up. I can see you are so tensed. It's just dinner, okay? No one is going to crucify you. So what do you say? Are you ready?' Tobi sounded really encouraging.

She took a deep breathe then let it out. He was still staring at her, waiting for her to calm down.

'I'm ready.' She said with so much confidence.

He nodded and smiled. He pushed the door open and they entered.

Grace was amazed again at the house. Maybe she hadn't taken time to look at the house the last time she came because it was crowded but this was heaven. There was a gigantic stairs in the enormous hall they entered. To the left and right, there were different doors. Tobi held Precious tight as he led the way to the stairs, they climbed up. Grace was careful, her heels weren't that high but she still felt the need to walk with caution.

Finally, up the stairs a broad hall again, at one side there was a grand paino, the other side had furnitures- chairs of different design and a large table, shelves containing lot and lots of books. A LG 43-inch LED TV hanged on the white marble wall.
Grace felt herself standing out in an open space.

'Sweetheart, come on. Let's go.'

'Uhmm. Oh, yes.' She snapped back to reality and followed him.

'Oluwatobiloba!' There was a joyous shriek from a woman whom Grace guessed to be his mother.

Grace looked at Tobi as he walked to her. She hugged him and gave him a peck on his cheek.

'How are you, love?' She asked him cupping his face in her hands.

'I'm fine, mum.' He said as he struggled his face out of her hands.

Suddenly, she turned to Grace who held Precious closely.

'And who is this damsel with a princess?' She said and walked over to meet Grace.

Grace genuflected completely.
'Good evening ma.' She said and Precious did the same.

'Oh, stand up sweetie.' She said and carried Precious up.

'Wow, you are a big girl, how old are you?' She asked Precious who turned to Grace.

She was silently asking for permission to talk and Grace gave her the go ahead. No one knew, they had an inner mind communication.

'I'm six and a half.' Precious replied smartly.

'Wow, I think I'm going to put you down now because I don't want my backbone to break.' She joked and dropped Precious and all of them laughed.

'Mum, this is Grace, my heartbeat.'

His mother smiled even more.

'And this is Precious, her daughter.' He said.

Grace thought she saw her smiles melt. She was scared.
