TWENTY-NINE

Grace dropped her glass of juice. Tobi looked at his phone and laughed.

'What?' She asked him as she tried to seize his phone.

He took it far from her showing off his long hands.

'I see what you are doing.' Grace said as she gave up on taking his phone.

They came out to have their lunch break together. Tobi doesn't really have a lunch break, every time was his break but he chosed to come out at the time Grace would be free.

He laughed again still staring at his phone.

'Come on, tell me. I'm dying of curiosity here.' She pleaded.

He extended his phone to her. She was astonished.

'When did you snap me? I didn't even know.' She laughed.

He snapped his phone from her hand.

'I'm that good. I even got the shot right. It is beautiful.' He said as he zoomed on the picture.

She smiled.

'What are you doing this weekend?' He asked looking up to her.

'You know Saturday is fixed.' She said.

He nodded, took a sip from his drink.
'And we are going together.' He said and dropped his cup.

'Yeah, sure.'

'Sunday evening. Come with me, my family is having dinner together.' He sounded plausible.

Grace laughed. 'Family dinner? Your family? I clearly remember the last one. The whole world was invited.'

'Yeah, it was like that then but this one is different really. It's just my Dad, Mum, Dami, Chioma, Tina and I.' He said, she glared at him. 'Of course you, if you agree to come.'

She looked away. Things are going too fast.

'I mean, I just want you to meet my immediate family.'

Grace let out a sigh. 'Don't you think we moving too fast in our relationship?'

'Too fast? Come on Grace. It's just dinner with some set of people. Dinner is free.' Tobi said and grinned.

'Dinner is free, yeah.' She said and they laughed.

'Don't worry, it is going to be alright. My parents are really cool, you think Chioma is awesome, wait till you meet my Mum.'

Grace smiled. 'Okay.'

'You always play hard to get.' He said playfully.

'I try not to be simple to my man.' She said as she lifted her left shoulder.

'And that is just perfect.'

Grace got to Precious school early, she met Chioma waiting too.

'Good afternoon.' Grace said to Chioma who was busy with her phone.

She raised her head up from her phone and a wide smile spread quickly on her face. Grace wondered how she does it every time.

'Grace love.' She hugged her.

'You are here early too.' Grace said to her.

'Yes, I was on my way home from the Salon and I decided to pick her up since it was almost time to close from school.'

'Your hairdo is nice.' Grace complimented.

Chioma place he hands on her chest. 'Awnnn, thanks.'
