One Hundred Twenty One

I had to assure Gwyn about a thousand times that I'm currently okay and everything's been taken care of.  The interview went on a little longer, but the mood went back to light and she ended on a softer note, asking more about the wedding planning.  I still haven't had much planned out for that other than asking Devin to submit for information on that venue in Italy.  Off the record, though, I did tell her the extended version of what happened after that first fight I had with Robert on set, back when she split us up and I booked it out of there.  She's really the first person I've trust with that information since I've come into this new life, and she promises not to publish all of it. It's sort of relieving, in it's own way, but it reminds me of that letter Charlie sent me, which is still in my bag, hidden from Robert for right now.  I've yet to explain that to him, either, with everything else going on right now, which probably isn't a good thing.

The following day or two are full of my own paranoia, now getting extremely anxious about this damn wedding.  Robert's back to work on set and I join him after a day of meetings with Devin, the label, and a sit down with Sydney going over what's to be expected.  I also remind her again not to treat me like a boss, just like a friend, and it'll go a lot smoother for both of us.  I'm still going to Devin about big things, though. Not sure if she understands that, but I'm not comfortable around new people the way she wants me to be.

Anyway, she gets to meet Robert when he's headed for his car back to set, and she's quite professional, but he's not.  He's in a rush to get out the door, a piece of toast in his mouth as he carries a weekend bag and his dorky little black lunchbox in one hand while the other is on his phone, answering whatever messages he has going for the day.

"I love you, I'll see you soon," he mumbles through a full mouth when he opens the door.

Then he leans in and I pull his breakfast from his mouth to give him a quick kiss, then replace it and he smirks behind it, finally putting his phone away.

"We'll have dinner," he offers, taking a bite and motioning between Sydney and I with the bread in his hand as he chews through his words.  "In LA, we'll all go out."

"Sure," Sydney replies politely with a soft smile, still courteous.

But I roll my eyes and push him gently out the door he's opened behind his back, ushering him out.  "If you miss role call, I'm not taking the wrap this time!"

"Okay, okay, I'm going!" he pouts, hopping down the stairs and following Jimmy to the car outside.

He's a child, I swear. but not as much of a child as I am when I head up state to visit him.

They're filming a bar scene, and one of his female costars is on set.  One he's going to be lip locking with, and I hate yet to see him kiss anyone except for Gwyn, and I've accepted her. That's his on screen girlfriend, and I'm fine with that.  But this girl - and yes, I've seen her in other things, which doesn't help - isn't his pass, and as they awkwardly prep for a steamy make out scene, my emotions flare and I can't hide my jealousy.  I don't really know why, but I guess with my mind on everything else, I'm feeling really protective of the one stable thing in my life: him.

First of all, Devin is still 'training' Sydney a couple hours a day, whatever that means, so both are accompanying me to location.  On the ride, they set up a lunch with Taylor at her house in LA sometime after the AMA's, per her request the other day with the cat text.  They also get in touch with Jeanne and arrange for Syd to pick up our wardrobe pieces since we'll be too busy to grab them ourselves.  She's promised not to show Robert anything wedding if Jeanne tossed it in - I still haven't asked him if he is superstitious about that whole not seeing the dress tradition or whatever.  It's probably best to keep that information out of the loop with him.  They also inform me that they scheduled some interviews for print for me, just some magazines here and there, but Hollywood Reporter wants an interview with the both of us because of the engagement, which will be interesting.  That's set up for sometime in the upcoming weeks.
