The lost boys lost mate (FINISHED)

Chapter nine

Third pov

Well into the night David announced it was time to go for a ride. He picked up his blood drunk mate (she'd ended up on his lap again some time earlier). "Star, keep an eye on Laddie. We're going for a ride." They went up to the bluff with Elise and Michael, both oblivious to what was going to happen.

They rode up and parked a few meters from the train tracks and got off. Elise had sobered up more and wasn't as wobbly anymore. She walked with Dwayne, Marko and Paul while David walked beside Michael. She laughed along with them as Michael asked; "What's going on?" David grinned. "Michael wants to know what's going on. Marko, what's going on?" Marko grinned and chuckled. "I don't know, what's going on Paul?"

"Wait who wants to know?" Elise giggled. "Michael wants to know." They stopped in the middle of the tracks. Elise leaned her slightly buzzing head on Dwayne's shoulder. David flashed him a quick look and Dwayne moved her so she could lean against Dacid instead. It wouldn't do for her to lean on him when it was his turn. "I think we should tell Michael and Elise what's going on. Marko." Marko had moved to the edge and gave them a Cheshire grin. "Goodnight Michael, princess." He jumped down. "Bombs away." David had his hands on the two's shoulders to stop them from rushing forward. Now it was Paul's turn. "Bottoms up man." Elise jaw was hanging as she wondered what the hell they were up to. Dwayne made finger guns before, he too, dropped.

David smirked. He moved to join his brothers. "Join us."

As soon as he jumped Michael and Elise shared a look before rushing forward. The sight of her boys hanging from the tracks relieved her.

"Join us!"
"Michael Emerson, come on down!"
"Elise, come on, join us!"

She knew that hesitation wouldn't do anything good so she started climbing down. She ended up hanging between Dwayne and Marko. They gave their nervous mate proud smiles. She looked over to David to see if Michael made it down alright. "Welcome aboard." Elise paled as she saw the train and the tracks started shaking. Her grip on the metal bar tightened.

Paul and Marko laugh and try to kick each other. Dwayne join in in their play fighting. Paul let's go of the bar and falls into the fog below. A sharp pain tugged on her heart as Elise looked down. Marko smiles. "Don't be scared Elise." He let go and fell into the fog where he joined Paul in flying. "You're one of us. Let go." Elise looked at him like he was crazy. "We'll do what?" Now Dwayne let go too. "You two are one of us. Let go!"

The shaking of the tracks made it hard to hold on and she couldn't hold on anymore. She screamed as she fell. "Marko!"

Marko caught her just as she passed out. He grinned and nuzzled her. David had dropped too and after making sure Elise was okay he joined them in cheering and taunting Michael until he had to let go of the tracks.

Marko carefully put Elise down on her bed and chuckled softly. "Sleep tight Sweets."
