"That's so wonderful, dear." Myon's mom exclaimed in happiness and Jin gave a graceful smile to her. It was like an unsaid tradition for them to have him at their place whenever he visited Gwacheon. The middle-aged woman smiled upon seeing him adorably feeding on the food, in between mentioning how good it was. He reflected his mother in every way possible and the woman was way more than happy to have her best friend's son in her home. Myon and Jin's mother, both had worked together in the modeling world and everyone could well see the talents passed on from Jin's mom to her son. No wonder world calls him 'Worldwide Handsome.'

Similar could also be said for Myon. She has received her mom's perfect petite body with the slender legs one could die for, with a clear porcelain complexion and those curly brunette locks she oozed the charm in her own unique way. The only difference was she wasn't as bright, as her mother was. Academics were never her strong point.

Myon and Jin had known each other for almost all of their life, they were simply each other's mom's best friend's child, nothing more than that. They never talked until three years back when Myon was in the urgency of help. Experimenting with some baking tricks she had managed to burn the kitchen and in a moment of panic she had called up the first number in the speed-dial of her mom's phone. His mom had picked the phone and told Jin to rush to her since the house was only a couple of blocks far. He didn't waste any time.

When he had reached everything was already under control, what he had seen was water spilled all over the kitchen and a guy, a couple of years younger than him was consoling Myon who was sobbing like a child. Jae-Bong was his name, he had learned. Although there was nothing he had done, she had thanked him like a million times for coming to her.

Her parents were terrified when they got to know about the incident. They couldn't thank Jae enough. The whole burning ordeal had lead to only certain things which included a lot of scolding and a ban on her to enter the kitchen. The incident although did a lot of damage it also resulted in blooming their friendship, he had started visiting her constantly teasing her about amazing baking skills and all she did was to groan and shove him away, he didn't stop though.

"Your finals are coming up, aren't they Myon?" Jin heard her father speak and watched her look up from her plate.

"Yeah, they are." She replied busing herself once again in her food but he was well aware her attention was on the phone in her lap.

"You have to work harder Myon, how will you pass at the rate your grades are falling." He asked concerned and she bit her bottom lips, avoiding the topic. Jin heard her father sigh and he felt bad for him but he also wished he wouldn't put so much pressure on Myon. She was a human too, so what if her academics weren't good.

"I'll live." She said and he suppressed a laugh to himself. Her father mumbled something to himself sighing upon her attitude and she glanced at everyone for a moment before going back to her food or phone one can say. He doesn't often gets see her being sarcastic or sassy like this but the attitude she was showing her parents right now, he realized he didn't know much about her.

a/n: something about their past. :)
