Tate's view

Tonight was the night to put the plan into motion.

Last night Asher had told me that my parents and the rogue were both in on the plan.

I had packed us some clothes and essentials in four backpacks. I stood in front of the bed gazing at the bags.

"What ya thinking?" Ashers question broke my concentration.

"I'm just getting anxious. This is a huge risk and there's no going back. If this doesn't work he's going to kill us."  I held onto one arm with the other across my chest. I felt sad for some reason.

Asher lifted my chin to look at him. He stared me in the eyes.

"It'll be okay love. We have the plan and I'll protect you with my life."

His eyes burned my soul and his words never wavered. How could I have been so lucky? This mate of mine was about to commit treason to save me and my family.

"I love you."

"Love you too. Now," he said as he pushed me back by my shoulders. "Do you have everything packed?"

"Yeah, I believe so."

"Okay good."

He ran his hand through his hair. "Time to get this show on the road. You remember what to do?"

"Yeah. Lie to alpha, once he leaves, lie to jack and Jake and then free my parents."

"That doesn't sound too good when you put it like that." He chuckled.

"Gotta keep my mood up or I'll lose it."

"I know. I'm anxious too." He planted a kiss on my head.

"Okay. I'll hide the bags in the forest."

"Good. Now, I'm going to go and get this started."

"I'll be waiting. Please be careful."

"Always."

He headed out the door and I grabbed the bags to go stash them in the forest.

I ran into the forrest and stashed the bags under a fallen log on the edges of our territory. There I concealed them with foliage.

Once satisfied I made my way casually back to the pack house to wait. As per the plan
I would wait at the pack house till he told me to go. This waiting did nothing to help my anxiousness.

Ashers view:

Once I was in the cells I had to let Tate's patents know the plan was about to start. All they had to do was sit and wait. Next I went to the rogue.

"You ready?" I asked.

He was leaned up against the back wall with his arms folded across his chest.

"Ready for my freedom yes."

"All in due time. Just do this and you'll be out of here soon. I give you my word."

"Like I can take your word." He scoffed.

I glared at him then smirked. "You don't have a choice if you want to live."
