The next morning
"Where is she?!?" He growled out at his beta, Asher, his second in command.
"We don't know alpha. We've been trying to mind link her but it's of no use." Asher replied defeated.
"Have you tried tracking her down?!" Damon was furious.
"Yes. There is no scent once we reach the end of the territory."
"Have you tried calling her?"
"Her phone goes straight to voicemail. She probably has it turned off or she's ditched it somewhere."
"Gather the warriors and trackers. We're going after her." Damon demanded.
"Yes alpha." Was all Asher could say.
As Damon looked at Asher, he had a look of curiosity on his face. Annoyed, Damon threw the papers he was holding onto the desk.
"What?" Damon said.
"It's not my place to ask." Holding his hands up in defense.
"Dammit Asher! Open your fucking mouth and ask!" Damon growled.
"Well, sir, some of the pack members are going to be wondering why she would've ran off and did what she did." He spoke, quietly.
"That's none of yours or their business! Now go alert the pack. We NEED to find her now!"
With that Asher bowed his head and turned to leave the office to inform the warriors and trackers of what their mission was.
As he walked out the door and down the gravel path, Tatum, Ashers mate came bounding up. She stopped in front of him her joyous mood turning to one of seriousness.
"What's wrong?" She asked reading his solemn face. "What did Alpha want?"
He looked around and then looked at her with a saddened expression. "Don't tell anyone, promise?"
"Depends on what it is." she smiled slyly.
Asher couldn't help the grin on his face but Tatum knew it was fake.
"What?" She said with a serious face.
Asher's face became soft as he looked at his mate. "It's about Tori."
Tate's face took on a look of fear and worry. "What?! What about her?!" She said quickly.
Tatum and Victoria have been best friends for as long as they could remembered. They told each other everything and they were like two peas in a pod. She was the closest friend Tori had in the pack.
Asher took a breath to gain some confidence. He knew Tate wouldn't handle this well.
"Sometime in the middle of the night Tori took Kali and left."
"What?! Why?! Where?!" She demanded.
Asher shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know anything more than that. Damon is furious and wants to find them ASAP."
After a moment, Asher looked at Tatum who was staring at nothing with a confused look.
"You wouldn't happen to know where she would've went would you?"
"Uh uh. She hasn't said a word to me about this which is unlike her. I know her pretty well and she wouldn't just run off without a good reason."
"Hmmm. Well I have to inform the pack before Damon bites my head off. I better go."
"Let me know if you find anything please. I'm really worried for those two" Tate asked.
"Will do babe" Asher said as he pecked his mates cheek and ran off towards the pack house.
"Thank you!" She called after him. She started to walk back to the pack house. Biting her lower lip she ran through the information she was just told. Something just wasn't adding up.
Drop what you are doing and come to the training field right now. Alpha's orders.
Asher mind linked the trackers and warriors.
Once the group was at the field one warrior shouted, "Why are we all here?"
At that moment, Damon walked up behind the group. "Because I fucking told you to."
Silence enveloped the group as he took position in front of the group. He stood stone faced and not a person dared utter a word for fear of the consequences. Damon cleared his throat.
"Before we begin. This is a special circumstance and must not leave the mouths of anyone here." He used the Alpha's tone which sealed them to secrecy. He continued..
"The Luna, er, Victoria decided to run away last night and cut all ties to the pack and also took my daughter as well. We need to find her ASAP. I don't care what we must do or to whom we do it to but find her."
Everyone just looked around in confusion not really knowing what to do. For a Luna has never left a pack before. Or at least willingly. Whispers among the group started.
Damon growled and all noise ceased at once.
"What are you waiting for?! Go! NOW!" He commanded. Everyone turned into their wolf, shredding their clothes as they did so and ran off in all directions.
