It was finally time, time for the three third-year students in the host club to graduate from Ouran. Takashi and Aaron, being closer than ever, walked into the graduation room together, Honey following closely behind them, a smile on his round face. Aaron took hold of Takashi's hand and smiled as he walked in, their friends all cheering for them in the crowd, he brought his hand up and waved to them with a grin. He was happy, happy and excited for college. Though a bit disappointed that he wouldn't see Takashi as much, or at all, in the coming years. Knowing that they most likely weren't going to the same college.
So as Aaron said his goodbye's after the ceremony, Takashi still holding his hand, which he was squeezing slightly. As the group waved as he and Takashi walked to their limo's Takashi pulled him into a gentle, caring hug.
"I'll see you soon... Right, Aaron..?" He questioned, hoping for the answer he deep down knew wasn't going to come out of his mouth.
"I... I don't know... Takashi... I'm going to college in America..." Takashi perked up at that. "I am too..." "Massachusetts..?" He got a simple nod in reply. He smiled wider. "Boston?" Again, a nod, Aaron jumped up and hugged him around the neck, lips brushing Takashi's cheek lightly before his face nuzzled into his neck. Takashi smiled slightly and held him in his arms.
"Care to come over for a bit today Takashi..? We can hang out in my room..." "Yeah... That would be nice Aaron..." He smiled and nodded, wiggling out of his arms before getting into the limo, Takashi slipping in beside him. They smiled at each other and waited for the car to stop outside his house. When it did they both got out and headed inside, as happy as could be to be around each other for a final day before not seeing each other for a little while.
As the two went up to Aaron's room, Takashi started really thinking, getting frustrated on not being able to tell the boy how he felt about him. And when Takashi left that night Aaron went out to his balcony and looked out, leaning on the railing.
College.
College was so far away from where he had accepted was his home.
So far away from his friends and family.
A new life.
A new world.
All in a single day, his life of happiness and joy would change to one of school and work to come.
But he didn't mind that. He would still be with his friend... His crush... The person he holds dear to his heart. The single person that lights up his life with a simple glance. The person who became his friend in such a short amount of time and the person that later would hopefully become his boyfriend.
Only time knows hat will happen. And Aaron was content to wait it out and find out with due time. But longed and hoped for the day to come that either an agreement between their parents were made or he would simply confess that he liked Takashi. It sounded so simple, but in reality, it was the most complicated thing in the world. Having to articulate the words to tell Takashi how he felt might take forever. It's not simple as to say 'I like you' because it was so much than just that. So, so much more that he couldn't explain in a single conversation. He still has a feeling of doubt, that somewhere, deep down in his heart, he still hadn't moved on from what happened in America. No matter how much he pushes it to the back of his mind. Forget it ever happened. It will never go away.
That fact that he was touched by another Alpha should disgust Takashi to no end. But... It doesn't. Aaron had somehow convinced himself that in some aspect it did disgust Takashi. He didn't know the whole story, he doesn't know what actually happened, he's just hiding his emotions. Thoughts racing on a simple topic he never wanted to think about again. Yet, here he is. Crying. Crying on his balcony because he's frustrated. Focused. Happy. Upset. Angry.
He can't control his emotions forever. And this was just one of the times it got the better of him. His tears running down his porcelain white skin as he sat and curling up, black hair covering his face as he sniffled and hiccuped. He knew... This one time... He had to cry by himself... Because Takashi wasn't here to comfort him. Takashi was here to tell him everything is okay.
Nothing is okay. He's hurt and angry at himself. Nothing is okay to Aaron. His emotions pent up and held back. He wanted to scream. He wanted to scream to the world he's not okay. But, he couldn't. So he put up his fake smile and whipped his face. He knew he was mentally scarred. He knew he was damaged. He knew he would never be loved. Yet, here he was. Having fallen in love with his first friend... His classmate... His crush... His...
His...
First...
Love...
Takashi Morinozuka.
Aaron Adler's first love.
