After a while, Shadow teleported Sonic back to the beach, where the blue hedgehog's friends and family were "Sonic Maurice Hedgehog, you are grounded!" Queen Aleena exclaimed when Sonic entered the house

"Hi Mom... Nice to see you too." Sonic replied sheepishly as Shadow slowly started heading for the door

"Thank goodness Sleet and Dingo didn't find you." Sonia smiled as she hugged her brother

"Yeah bro, we were worried." Manic grinned as he joined the hug

"Hey, if it weren't for Shadow they would've found me." Sonic pointed out

"Really? The ever so 'strong' Sonic The Hedgehog has to be saved by someone?" Sonia teased as Manic laughed

"Well he's the idiot who get hurt." Shadow shrugged as he left

Sonic rolled his eyes as Shadow left "So-" Sonic started

"Well, I believe it's time for us to return to Mobotropolis." Queen Aleena began

"Hold on Mom, there's something-"

"You are not going to stay here. We have to get back to Mobotropolis."

"But-"

"Go pack, we're going home."

"Mom-"

"Now Sonic."

"THEY'RE GONNA REBUILD THE ROBOTOSIZER!" Sonic yelled

"What?!" Sonia and Manic exclaimed

"Eggman, he's gonna rebuild it. He found the blueprints or something, and somehow he found Sleet and Dingo and hired them, and he was... He was gonna rebuild it and test it... On me."

Queen Aleena gasped "He needs to be stopped." Sonia said flatly, "Not only could that cause catastrophe across Mobius if he found a way to free Robotnik, but that's a direct threat to the throne"

Several years ago, in Mobotropolis...

"Soooonic?" Sonia called as she walked out into the garden "Soonic?" She looked around, she eventually saw Sonic's bright blue spines poking out from behind a plant, and heard quiet snoring. She snuck up behind her brother "Sonic, wake up."

"Ngh, go awaaay." Sonic mumbled in his sleep

"Well that's rude."

"No... Stop it..."

Sonia raised an eyebrow as Sonic rolled over "Huh?"

"No!" Sonic yelled as he shot up. He looked around, and then took a breath "Just a dream."

"What was that about!?" Sonia exclaimed

"I uh... Nothing, just a dream Sis, no big deal." Sonic tried to lie

"Uh huh, you just shouted No loud enough for the people all the way on Angel Island to hear."

"Nothings wrong, it was just-"

"A nightmare. You had another dream about being robotisized again didn't you?"

"I... Yeah."

"Who all got robotisized this time?"

"First it was you and Manic, then Mom, then... Then..."

"Let me guess, Buttnik made Us robotisize you?" Sonic nodded. "Buttnik locked up forever Sonic, there's no way he's escaping."

Sonic sighed "I got messed up."

"Hey, we all got messed up by Buttnik."

"Fair enough."

"Mom sent me out to get you for dinner, so let's go."

"Okay Yeah, let's go." The two headed into the castle. Upon arriving in the dining room they sat at the table. Sonic gave his mom a questioning look 'What's with the face?' He thought "Why's mom smiling like that?" He asked Manic

"She already told Sonia and I. She wants to tell you herself though." Manic replied

"Sonic, I need to tell you something." Aleena smiled as she began "It's about the throne."

"Do you mean the big chair, or like you being Queen?" Sonic questioned

"The crown Sonic."

"Okay, what is it?"

"As you know, you're the oldest triplet."

"Yeeeah?"

"Which means you're heir to the throne."

Sonic's eyes widened "What?"

"When you turn sixteen in a few months, you'll become king."

"What if I don't want to be king?"

"Sonic, it's tradition for the eldest of the royal family to become king."

"Well traditions can be changed."

"Sonic."

"I... I'm going to my room..." Sonic exclaimed as he rushed away

Meanwhile, Sonic was filling a small bag with socks and sneakers. Once he was finished he shoved a camera into the bag. "Sorry Mom." He sighed as he opened the window, backed up, ran, and jumped out the window, running into the distance, towards the only way he knew how to leave without his family checking there. The docks.
