Chapter 5

"Sonia! Stop trying to run into trees!" Manic yelled as Sonia drove

"I'm sorry, but Sleet and Dingo seem to have an endless supply of missiles, that are coming at the van nonstop!"

"He's waking up!"

"What's," Sonic coughed "goin' on?" He asked just as Sonia made a sharp turn "Why is Sonia driving?"

"Well, We're kinda trying to get you to a doctor." Manic explained just before Sonic coughed again

"What?" He Coughed once more "Nah I'm fine."

"There's a doctor in a small town not far from where we are, once we loose Dumb and Dumber we should be fine." Sonia said calmly as she made another sharp turn

Sonic couldn't sleep. So he ended up playing his guitar and singing, which kept him from complaining about not being allowed to help his siblings. "I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky, like a tiger defying the laws of gravity, I'm a racing car, passing by, like lady Godiva, I'm gonna go go go, there's no stopping me! I'm burning through the sky yeah, two hundred degrees, that's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit, I'm traveling at the speed of light, I wanna make a super sonic man outta you! Don't stop me now! I'm have such a good time, I'm havin a ball, don't stop me now if you wanna have a good time, just give me a call. Don't stop me now! Don't stop me now, I do-"

The wall of the house exploded. "You have been stopped." Sleet said flatly as he and Dingo stepped through the hole in the wall. "Come quietly Hedgehog and maybe we won't hurt your friends."

Sonic glanced down at his ankle. 'Do I really care if I get robotisized or not at this point?' Sonic thought, zoning out a bit

"Sonic, lookout!" Amy yelled as she whacked Dingo, who was about to grab Sonic, on the head with her hammer. "Tails, Knuckles, get Sonic out of here!"

With that Knuckles and Tails ran over to Sonic, who was standing up. "I can take care of myself guys." Sonic mumbled as he shot at Sleet with his guitar "Go away, no one likes you!" Sonic yelled "Wait a minute..." he looked around "Where'd Dingo go?" Sonic asked before begging grabbed from behind "Seriously?!" He shouted as he tried to escape

"Sonic!" Tails yelled as he threw a wrench at Sleet, which hit the villain in the head

"I think we lost Sleet and Dingo." Manic pointed out as the van stopped

"And we got to the town, Manic, go ask around, try to find out where this doctor is." Sonia said flatly

"Why do I have to?"

"Because Sonic's sick and I don't want to."

"Fine." Manic left leaving Sonia and Sonic in the van

"Are you feeling any better?"

"Well, I keep coughing, but I'm fine really." Sonic tried to explain

"You went unconscious earlier!"

"I was tired!"

"Do you always act like this when you're sick?" Sonia asked angrily

Sonic froze up for a second "I haven't been sick since a few weeks before Buttnik robotisized Uncle Chuck. Besides, I always shrug it off, it never stays long enough to do any actual harm."

"Hey I'm back, the doctor lives a few streets away." Manic exclaimed as he hopped back into the van. He looked at his siblings "I'm assuming something happened while I was gone, and I'm not gonna ask."

"Let's just get Sonic to the doctor." Sonia ordered as she headed back to the steering wheel

"You can't do this Eggman!" Sonic yelled as Dingo shoves the blue hedgehog into the robotisizer

"And why's that?" Eggman spat "You've been a thorn in my side for years, why shouldn't I finally get rid of you?" Eggman started to activate the machine

"Because this machine ruined the world Eggman!" Sonic shouted "Robotnik tore families apart, practically destroyed the world, he tried to kill my siblings and I when all we wanted was to find our mother and help people ." Sonic began to panic "If you do this you'll destroy the world," Sonic's chest tightened, "and it'll be all my fault!" Sonic shouted as Eggman pressed the button

After a minute Eggman pressed the button again, another minute passed "WHY IS IT NOT WORKING!?"

Sonic's heart was racing, and his chest felt like a boa constrictor was squeezing him to death. He covered his ears with his hands and closed his eyes 'Calm down.' He thought 'You need to calm down.' He squeezed his eyes shut 'Think of the forest. Just calm down.'

Eggman watched as Sonic tried to calm himself down. This Hedgehog, that had always been so cocky, was having a panic attack. Sonic the Hedgehog, one of the five people who fought Eggman on a daily basis for two years, was breaking down. Trying not to fall apart completely. Someone who had been a freedom fighter in the war, was scared to death, of death.

'Stop thinking about that.' Sonic thought 'Forget the war. Forget Robotnik. Forget the fact that you're sitting in a robotisizer... Oh gosh that made it worse.' Sonic tensed up a bit more, and his breath began to quicken. 'Calm down or you won't get out of this!' He yelled in his head

Sonic muttered to himself as he sat there curled up, until a loud crash sounded and debris rained down from the wall "Shadow?" Egg man questioned

"Let him out of the machine Eggman."

"What?"

"Did I stutter?" Shadow questioned before pointing at Sonic "Let. Him. Out. Now."

"Now Shadow, I thought you hated him as much as I do."

"I don't hate him, I strongly dislike him." Shadow growled "Now let him out, he's having a panic attack."

Eggman opened the machine "There, it's open."

Shadow stepped into the machine and started to try to calm Sonic down, but then the door of the machine closed "Open it."

"No."

Shadow picked Sonic up and yelled "Chaos control!" Then he and Sonic disappeared into thin air
