It's Over

This house was never this cold in the blind morning like this. She moves away every time I touched her and she wouldn't even look at me in the eyes.

"What's wrong?" I muttered slowly as I hold her wrist prevent her from leaving the bed.

Again she release herself from my grip and moves away.

"Did I do something wrong? I wouldn't figure out a thing if you just give me silent treatment like this." Unconsciously, I shouted at her and regret it in next seconds.

Works has been stressing me out and I came home to find comforts from her, my love one but she didn't helping at all. I've been trying to be patient but it's hard when I'm already thirst of her affection while she ignore me like this.

"I'm sorry, Jimin." she muttered her first words with a little sob escape from her lips.

Wait, why?

I look up from the ground to see her sad and teary eyes. She look away from me and I see there's something she's trying to hide.

I reach for her hand but it's cold and she pull away again. I wonder what's on her mind.

"I made a dumb mistake." Her little sobs becomes louder as she start to tremble and her voice begins to break.

"W-what do you mean?" I got furious, a little bit outrageous but mostly curious.

"I lied when you asked me about the cigarettes on the counter. It wasn't belong to your friends." and I feel the color draining from my face.

"Why?" I use everything in me to form a single question and lift up my hand to touch her face.

"I'm sorry." She keep repeating the apology as if it would cure my broken heart then I could tell she's moving on.

"Stop repeating your apology. It won't heal my heart." and knowing she won't have any more to say beside her apology, I turned around and left.

"Jimin, stop look back at all the messages she sent. It would hurt you more." Taehyung, my bestfriend hand me a cup of warm water as he do a check on me in his guest room.

"I know it wasn't right but it was fckg with my head. Am I not enough? I know I'm lacking of time to being there with her but at least I'm not a cheater. It's the feeling of betrayal that I just can't seem to shake and everything I know tells me that I should walk away but I just want to stay." I inhales deeply before lower down my voice, since I realize I am a guest.

"I wish I could stay a little bit longer with her but no, it's too hurt to stay." I wipe away my tears as I feel Taehyung pull me into a hug and give me a comforting pats.

"I know you love her, but it's over, mate. It doesn't matter, put the phone away now. It's never easy to walk away, let her go. It'll be okay. It's gonna hurt for a bit of time so bottoms up, let's forget tonight. You'll find another and you'll be just fine. It will be alright, okay? I'm here, we are here for you."

It took awhile for me but I managed to flash him a smile, "Thank you, Tae. I'm sorry for bothering you and your girlfriend."

"Don't mention it. She wouldn't mind having you stay over night. Stay as long as you wanted to. This is what friends are for." He flashed me a smile one last time before leaving the room. "Rest well, Jimin. You would heal yourself."

I nodded and smile but nothing heals the past like time and they can't steal the love you're born to find, isn't it?
