"Daisy hurries up, you'll be late," Daisy's grandma called out.

"Coming," Daisy said. She had woken up late. Daisy had stayed up very late drawing. Daisy quickly brushed her hair and pulled it up on a bun. She put on a bit of makeup.

"Hurry up a young man is waiting for you," her grandma said. A young man? Kaden? It could be him. Daisy quickly rushed over grabbing her bag on the way downstairs. She was hoping to see Kaden. But it wasn't him. She felt disappointed. It was Hades.

"Hi," he smiled.

"Hi," she said. "I'm going now, grandma."

"Alright," Daisy kissed her cheek.

"Your grandma nice," Hades said.

"Are the others with you too?" Daisy asked as they walked. She was hoping it wasn't him alone.

"No," he said. "I'm the only one that came to pick you up."

"Oh," Daisy felt slightly uncomfortable with Hades. She didn't want to be near him. But it can't be helped. She wonders why he was the only that came to pick her up.

"So I want to ask you something," he said. "I don't want you to freak on me, but just to think it over."

"Okay," Daisy didn't like where this was going.

"Well," he took her hand and stopped her. "Would you go out with me? I mean we just met yesterday, but I like you."

She pulled her hands away. "I don't think that's a good idea. We barely met."

"You don't have to give me an answer today," he said. "Think about it."

Daisy nod. Thought her answer would be no. She can't date him.

They arrived at school, where everyone was waiting. Kaden was the first to stand. He looked a bit upset. But Kaden quickly covers it up with his usual expression, nothing. He walked towards the school entrance. Daisy didn't want him to be mad at her, she follows him. Hades called out to her, but she didn't look back.

"Hey," she glided beside him. He didn't as much as look at her. "Thank you for yesterday."

"No problem," he said, not even looking at her.

She frowned. "Are you okay?" He went inside the classroom. She followed behind and sat in their seats. They still had few minutes before the bell rings.

"I'm fine," he looked down.

She opened her notebook and doodle on it. She should tell Kaden that his brother asks her out. It feels right telling him. "Your brother asks me out," she quickly said it all in one breath.

Kaden tense up. He stared at her. His brother was quick to act. Of course, he has their father skills. But did she said yes to him? "And what did you said to him?"

"He told me to think about it," she sighed. "But I'm not sure I'll accept, I fell unease dating a wolf. Plus I barely know him. And I don't think I'll like him like that. He doesn't interest me."

"I see," he smiled. "But why won't you like dating a wolf? Is it because we smell like wet dog after we get our fur damp?" Daisy giggled and shook her head. Kaden looked at her. It is the first time he heard her laugh. And it was wonderful. "So why?"

Daisy looked down. Why is it? Maybe she's already used to just being around ordinary people, and not wolfs. But mostly she was afraid, afraid to be rejected again. In her old pack, after her parents passed away. Everything seemed to fall apart. They started treating her differently, whispering things about her. Since the day of the accident, it's like her whole childhood died with them. She can't remember anything from the crash. The only reason she knows that her parents got killed in a car accident was that they told her. But there was something else, and they don't want to say it. And when she tried to remember, it makes her sick and gets a major headache. Hopefully, someday she'll remember. She can't even remember her parents, only by pictures though. Daisy felt someone nudge her.
