Daisy giggled. "Kaden, that tickles."

"Sorry, I was trying to distract you," Kaden said. "So that I can win."

"That's cheating," she pouts. "Now you have to let me win."

"Nah," Kaden chuckled. He paused the game. "So when do you want to contact them?" Kaden grabbed his plate and took a bite out of the bread.

"Well," Daisy sighed.

It was the day after Christmas and Daisy haven't gotten the guts to called the contacts that his parents left her. She just wasn't sure what to say.

"We have to do it soon," Kaden said. "Because we won't have much time. After new years we have to go back home."

"I know," Daisy sighed. "Alright, I'll call them today." But that was a mistake. A huge mistake. She and Kaden were surprised to find out who the Alpha was. And the people that will be helping her.

"What?!" She didn't know Jordan's father was the Alpha. If she had known she wouldn't have contacted the people that will help her. Turns out, those people where Alphas as well, but one of them was the owner of the land, that the clan was. Guess who? Exactly Clay. Who could've had thought? Kaden had told her about all the properties that his uncle owns Clay owns so much land.

Anyways Jordan's father was furious, he used to be her father's Beta and had taken the position, without telling the owner of this land. In this case was Clay. So now his paying the consequences. Jordan was just confused looking at her. He and she had been talking. But now she isn't sure he will accept her friendship.

Daisy held on to Kaden's hand. "Who would've had thought that Clay owned this land as well." She whispers to him.

"Cool huh?" Kaden smiled. "Now you will be Alpha." Daisy didn't want to be Alpha. But what she did want, was answers. Why didn't this man report the passing of her father?

"You heard me," Clay said. "You proclaim yourself Alpha. Without even informing me of the passing of the previous Alpha. Our law specifically says that the eldest child should take over. But if the Alpha does not have any children, the Beta should take over. Though in your case, the previous Alpha did have a child. And she is standing right there. You broke the laws. So explained yourself?" Clay crossed his arms.

"This is ridiculous," Hons, Jordan father said. He was furious. "How could we be positive that they had a child? That this girl is their daughter?"

"But she is," Jordan said.

"Jordan who side are you on?" Hons glared. Jordan shook his head.

"It doesn't matter, Daisy is the Queen's daughter," Clay said. "So, therefore, this position doesn't belong to you, it belongs to her."

"A female can't be an Alpha," Hons growled.

"There's always a first," Clay said. "Therefore you are as a result of this discharged, and Daisy will take over."

"You can't do that!" He advanced towards her. Kaden stopped him. She sighed, she was grateful to have Kaden with her. Without him, she would've had gotten hurt.

"It's over," Clay said and ordered them to take Hongs away. "Daisy this will be difficult, I can't stay long, but I'll send someone to help you."

"Thank you," Daisy smiled. "But I have Kaden here with me." Kaden held her tightly.

"Who would've had thought, a female Alpha," he chuckled.

"I don't know how to run a pack," Daisy said.

"Kaden will explain everything," Clay said

Daisy smiled. "True, I am lucky to have him."

"Daisy," Jordan walked up to her. "I am sorry for what my father did to you. I didn't know he was capable of hiding something like this from us."

"It's okay," Daisy smiled.

"Hey," Clay tap her forehead. "We still do memories to unlock."

"I know," Daisy sighed. "Hopefully now that I have gotten this far. I will start to remember."

"Well I should get going," Clay said. "Be careful, Hons may try to do something. He may try to hurt you."

"I will protect her," Kaden said. "Until you send someone else, I will be her guard."

"Okay," Clay smiled.

After he left they went home; Daisy wasn't ready to stay at the clan's house. Kaden could understand. She just became Alpha. And that is a huge responsibility. Kaden will someday be Alpha, and he knows how it can take a toll on someone if they aren't ready. And Daisy isn't prepared. She will need to learn a lot.

"I don't want to be Alpha," she said as she got out of the showered. "We can both be Alpha; it will be weird. Plus we won't be able to live together."

Now that Kaden thinks about it she's right. "But what can we do?"

"I need to find someone else," Daisy said. "Someone that I can trust with my father's clan. Because I want to go back with you, I don't want to stay here."

"For now let's not think about it," Kaden said. "For now let's enjoy this day. Let's cuddle by the fire."

"You always cheer me up," she said.

"I know," Kaden kissed her. "I must keep you happy. I don't want to see you unhappy." She giggled and hugged him.

They went downstairs and cuddled close to the fireplace. And soon Daisy was fast asleep. And she began to dream.

In her dream she was small. About five or six. And she was sitting under a tree. She heard a scream and rustling. Two arms wrapped around her. She looked up; it was her mother. She looked scared and was crying. She looked down at her.

"Everything will be alright; he won't hurt you," she cried.

She sat there holding on to her. That's when she saw her father run to them. A man was after him. Father picked her up and grabbed her mother's hand, dragging her. Daisy looked back, but she couldn't see the man face. She was scared.

"Don't look sweety," her father said.

Daisy tried not to. He set her inside the car and buckled her up. She didn't know she was crying. Her mother got beside her and held her. And her father got in the driver seat and started the car up. He screeched out of there; he was driving so fast.

"Mommy I'm scared, daddy driving too fast," she held onto her mother.

"Everything will be okay," she kept on repeating over and over again.

But then something cross in front of the car and her father lost control trying to break. Then nothing. She woke up before the could finish the dream.

"Daisy," Kaden held her. "It's alright; it was just a dream. I'm here." She leaned against him breathing heavily.

"I remember now," she said.

"Tell me," Kaden said smoothing her hair down.

"We were heading home after a Christmas event," she said. "And I had to go to the bathroom since I had to much juice. So my father stopped the car, and we walked deep into the woods. Father sense that someone had followed us. It was a man; he began to chase us. We got into the car and as my father was driving. Something got in his way. My father lost control of the car, and that is where the dream ends."

"I see," Kaden kissed her head. "Did you take a look at the man?"

"No," she sat up and looked at him. "But I know who it may be." She didn't want to say it.

"Who?" Kaden frowned.

"Hons."
