DESTINED LOVE (Taekook/Vkook)

Chapter 7

Third person pov

Taehyung sits in the hospital lobby, tears streaming down his face. Minho and Boyoung's bodies have been taken for post mortem. All his beautiful memories with Minho flash through his mind. But Jungkook's words about Minho's affair with his wife cuts through his thoughts.

Taehyung's pov

What Jungkook said can never be true, right? Why would my Minho have an affair with someone else when we were already living a perfect married life? There were never any big arguments between us. Also Minho loved me a lot. He would never have cheated on me. Jungkook must have said those words in anger. But the officer also said that Minho didn't even leave Seoul. Then why did Minho lie to me about going out of Seoul? He must have definitely had some valid reason. I feel like crying out loud.

"Tae", I suddenly hear someone. I turn my head to the left to see Jin hyung and Joon hyung coming towards me. Jin hyung embraces me in his arms as soon as he reaches me. This simple act of affection causes me to break down completely. Joon hyung pats my head gingerly, his own eyes filling with tears. Amidst my crying I explain the whole situation to hyung. Jin hyung becomes enraged on hearing about Minho's possible infidelity. "I knew it. I knew that he wasn't the suitable one for you. If only he was alive now, I would have killed him myself". "No hyung. I trust Minho. He wouldn't have done that".

Jin hyung seems like he wants to oppose it, but doesn't say anything considering the state Iam in and Iam grateful for that. When Iam able to control my sobbing, I slowly lift my head from hyung's shoulders to see Jungkook on the other side of corridor.

Jungkook's pov

Though I have been betrayed in my relationship, I can't stop my tears for my wife. I loved her with all my heart. But why did she do that? Iam now outside the hospital. I dont want to go inside. Suddenly someone shakes me out of my thoughts. I open my eyes to see Jimin standing in front of me with a face red from crying, pain clear in his eyes. He had arrived earlier and had gone inside the hospital to complete the formalities.

I feel anger against everyone. But when I see Jimin, I break down completely. He hugs me tight and he himself also breaks down crying. "Minnie, how could she cheat on me? Where did I go wrong? She was my everything and you know that very well. Then why did she do that? Why? WHY?", I start with crying and end with anger caused by betrayal. Jimin flinches at my tone. "Kook, you might be thinking wrong about her. She wouldn't have done that. She loved you a lot too", he says in a pleading tone.

"Don't you dare take her side Jimin. Iam the one who is heartbroken here. If she hadn't cheated on me, she would be alive now. Has your love for your sister blinded you? Don't you care about me? I should have known. Ofcourse 'blood is thicker'. Do you choose your blood over your friend?".

"No Kook. You know I will always support only the right person. Even if Boyoungie had done something wrong, she is now no more in this world. Try to let go of your anger. Whatever she did, she was still my sister. But as a friend I will always support you no matter what. I talked to the investigator and he said he wanted to meet you. Let us go and talk to him", he says with tears still leaking from his eyes.

I shouldn't have spoken such harsh words to him. I know he will always stay by my side. Though I now hate Boyoungie, I will never direct my anger towards Jimin. So I nod glumly and mumble sorry to him. We turn to go inside the hospital when Hoseok hyung comes towards us. He already knows the situation. He just puts a comforting arm on my back and guides me inside the hospital. Upon entering, the first person I see is Taehyung, which adds fuel to the fire raging inside me. He is the cause of my misery.

Iam diverted from my thoughts by the Officers voice. He shows me some photographs and explains the evidences. The photos were of Boyoung and Minho as a bride and groom. They had gotten married secretly yesterday evening. Statement given by the priest who wedded them also confirms it.

Something inside me snaps upon hearing the truth about Boyoung's betrayal and I rush towards Taehyung. I look at him and see various emotions flitting through his eyes. Iam thrown out of my mind for a second, but soon my anger returns. I grab his hands roughly and start dragging him with me outside the hospital.

Third person pov

Jungkook pushes Tae to the ground once they are outside the hospital. He looks at him with anger. Tae is in a state of shock about what just happened. He blinks his eyes to clear the tears and asks, "Why are you doing this to me Jungkook?". Jungkook takes the wedding pics of Minho and Boyoung and throws them at Tae's face.

"You had enormous faith in your husband's loyalty, didn't you? Now I want to see it all crumble. Look at these photos. They even got married secretly. Is this proof enough for you? Or are you so dumb to realise the truth even now? Denial doesn't change the truth Taehyung. And the truth is that our respective partners had an affair with each other".

Taehyung is too dumbstruck to even reply. His mind realises the truth but his heart is unable to accept it. His eyes spill tears on their own accord. Tae's tears infuriate Jungkook.

"Why the hell are you crying now? You mocked me that day at the bakery, didn't you? About me being incapable of keeping my wife happy? Look where you stand now? We are on the same page today. And I will never forgive you and your worthless husband for spoiling my happy family. You will feel my wrath. Look forward to it Tae. You will pay for your husband's doings".

Tae can't even comprehend what Jungkook said. He wonders how in the name of heaven is it his fault? Though he himself is heartbroken upon knowing the truth, he still doesn't hate Minho. Because he was and always will be his first love. Though Minho may have cheated on him, they had a beautiful life together. He can't deny that. But Tae still empathises with Jungkook. He tries to reason with him.

"Jungkook, nobody can change what has happened. We both may have failed in our relationship at some point. But anger doesn't solve anything. Even Iam feeling the same pain as you".

"We? We failed in our relationship?", Jungkook scoffs in anger. "What do you even know about me? I never failed in any of my duties. I was a perfect husband. It was your husband who stole my wife from me by some fraud. I think it was all for my money. You failed in your relationship. I did not. My wife was not loyal. It was totally her fault. Neither your husband nor my wife deserve my sympathy or tears. They got what they deserved. And I will get my revenge at your husband by destroying you". With those harsh words he turns around and leaves without even giving Tae a glance.

Jungkook himself doesn't know what made him say those words. His ego and loving heart was both hurt by the fact that his wife chose someone else over him. But he didn't want to cry, so he turned his pain into anger towards Tae. He doesn't realise now how unreasonable he is. Though Jungkook is all grown up on the outside, on the inside he is still like a child throwing a tantrum when his favourite toy is plucked from him.

On the other hand, Tae still sits on the floor cursing his destiny for being ruthless and snatching away his love from him. He cries both for his life and because of Jungkook's outburst. He prays not to meet Jungkook in his life ever again. But will his wish be granted?
