Just another small thing I came up with.

Reiji's P.O.V.

I scanned over every word carefully, taking in full understand of each sentence before continuing on. Lilliane is quite the character, I only hope she doesn't end up being the murderer. That would be too cliche. However, considering the fact it was written by a human, I also wouldn't be surprised is that were the case.

"Reiji-kun!" I rolled my eyes at the whiny voice behind me, and the owner of that voice plopped onto the couch beside me, laying upside down.

"I can't find Bitch-chan anywhere! Where is she?! I'm thirsty!" Laito whined, dramatically placing a hand over his forehead. I ignored him and flipped to the next page. He pouted, recorrecting his position so that he was upright and staring right at me.

"Reiji-kun." I ignored him. He poked my shoulder, a playful smirk on his face.

"Reiji-kun. Reiji-kun. Reiji-kun." I felt my eyebrow twitch in irritation.

"Reiji-kun-" I finally slapped his hat off his head. "If you must know, Y/n stayed after school to catch up on work. I am unsure when she will return, but if its too long for my tasting I will retrieve her." I stated. Laito picked up his hat and brushed it off.

"Someone's grumpy today." he said in amusement.

"You wouldn't stop pestering me. I only wished to cease it."

"What's the difference?" I snapped my book shut. "I will kill you." I stated. Laito opened his mouth to return the remark, but the sound of the door opening and closing caught our attention. We both looked towards the entrance, seeing Y/n entering. She wore a dark coat around her body, and her hood remained up. She had small raindrops dripping off the coat. Laito smiled and waved.

"Bitch-chan! Kunichiwa! Can you come over here please?! I'm thr-" she didn't even turn to look at us as she bolted away from us and up the stairs. Laito and I watched her in surprise as she disappeared, and there was the distant sound of a door being shut.

"Huh, wonder what her problem was." Laito replied. I narrowed my eyes.

That was not normal.

Time skip

I sighed, snapping my book shut again and setting it aside. I was correct, Lilianne did end up being the criminal. How disappointing. I stood up, making my way to the stairs and going up. I was barely focused on where I was going though. My mind instead kept coming back to Y/n. I wondered why she ran up to her room so quickly. Had something frightened her? Or perhaps she just wanted to escape from the rain.

No....it feels like something more. As if something was wrong. I was so blinded by these thoughts that I could barely finish my book. My eyes aimlessly gazed around the hall I walked upon....until they landed on a door. Y/n's bedroom door. I was surprised. Was I that deep in thought? I didn't think I'd find myself caring so much that I end up at her door.

"How troublesome...." I muttered. Well, I suppose as long as I am here, I might as well see if she is alright. I raised a hand and knocked on the door.

"Y/n."

There was no response. I furrowed my brows, and slowly opened the door. Her room was dark, and I could make out her figure laying on her bed. Is she asleep? I slowly approached her bed, trying to find her face. I eventually saw it. Her eyes were shut as the moonlight gleamed from her window, perfectly illuminating her. However, I could sense her fear right away. Her eyes were shut too tight.....like she was pretending.

"Y/n, I know you're not awake." she didn't respond however. I frowned, feeling more irritated.

"Why did you run to your room when you came home today?" I demanded sternly. I could see her figure flinch, meaning she definitely heard me, and I startled her. I was slowly getting more angry with her resistance.
