saturday morning, jisung wakes up with not only his messy brunette hair but multiple texts from minho. his eyes are still adjusting to the morning's beaming sunshine so as they start to focus, he's intrigued by the messages he has received. minho has told the boy to meet him at the nearby park at six thirty sharp, quite a late time but he surely will be there.
though he had hours to prepare for whatever minho had planned out, he felt his heart racing from the never ending thoughts of what could happen. the fact minho made him feel this way was extraordinary in his perspective. "oh god..what do i wear..." he whispers to himself, stress already building up. "i'll call hyunjin, he'll know what to do in situations like these."
searching for hyunjin's contact number, he finds himself waiting for an answer from the boy. it's only a couple seconds later before the line goes through and he hears the pissed off tone of the non-morning lover teen. "what!" he yells, "isn't it a bit early for this!"
"it's eleven a.m hyunjin, you should be awake." jisung tells, but hyunjin only mumbles curses through the phone. "but, minho told me to meet him tonight at the park. i don't know what to wear."
"this is why we have pinterest."
"okay! but sometimes i don't find anything that catches my eye or in general, i can't find anything i can pull off. can help me? can you come over! please!!"
"i'm getting nothing in return." hyunjin states, "also i'm tired."
"i can set up a date for you."
"what?" hyunjin's voice is more clear, as if he's interested in the offer.
"it'll be a surprise though. deal?" jisung persuades, he can only hear a defeated sigh and he tries to hold in his squeals as he knows he's won. "yay!"
"i'll be there soon, i'm gonna wash up but you owe me big time han."
"pleasure doing business with you mr. hwang!" finally jisung ends the call, excitement yet nervousness filling him as he's waiting for the time to come. he still pondered about what minho was planning, but how could it not stay off his mind?
he was merely a curious squirrel.
____________
TIME SKIPit's two hours later and hyunjin is sitting in jisung's room grumpy as ever. he already knew the plans minho had set but the outfit catastrophe jisung was having annoyed the hell out of him. minho would love him even if he showed up in a trash bag, he was that whipped.
well, aren't they both.
"should i be simple! or be more bold? i don't even know how he's dressing! should i ask?"
"jisung, it doesn't really matter. minho is gonna appreciate your efforts on showing up, why do your clothes matter so much." hyunjin groans, his back finally hits jisung's bed as he looks up to the ceiling.
"because! my outfit can also display how much thought i put into this! if i showed up looking like trash he'd probably think i'm not taking him seriously." he argues, hyunjin did realize he had a point there. "but you're good with style, tell me. what would look good for this occasion?"
"nothing fancy, but i think you should go causal." as hyunjin finally pitches in, "but the real question is, what look do you want to go for? wanna go looking like a soft boy."
"well, i don't know?"
"if you don't know i can't help you."
"something simple! causal and comfortable, it's gonna be late anyways so i'm sure we're not doing anything too extravagant." jisung answers, hoping it'll help.
"i think you should go with your grey long sleeve and tuck it into some blue jeans. wear black shoes and add accessories if you'd like. take it or leave but that's my suggestion." hyunjin tells, setting his idea on the table. "you okay with that?"
"yeah, i guess.." jisung reflects on the outfit and nods after a few seconds, "yeah i'm cool with that. simple and yet presentable. thanks hyunjin!"
"that took me five minutes to create and you made me walk all the way to your place! i'm so nice, you should be glad i haven't strangled you."
jisung only lets out a cute chuckle, "sorry..but hey? since you're already ready! go to that cute café that we sometimes go to after school. i'll send your date after you arrive."
"you're serious about that?"
jisung nods, "positive! you deserve love in your life, am i right?"
hyunjin lifts himself up and shrugs, "yeah i guess. but good luck with minho and this person better not be some weirdo."
"oh no, they won't. but the walk isn't that far so go! go! go!"
hyunjin groans as he makes his way out of jisung's home and into town, he couldn't believe he got himself into this mess. going on a blind date with someone who could be a stranger to him. what was jisung thinking! but he decides to give the boy's idea a chance and walks to the café with his head up, maybe this person could get his mind off of seungmin.
maybe.
but after the short walk, jisung receives the texts from hyunjin that he's at the café, specifically sitting at the back corner that seats a party of two. he even takes a selfie for evidence to reassure that he's there. jisung replies with a smiley face and looks for hyunjin's date contact number.
jisung: hey are you free?
____ : yeah why?
jisung: come to the café, back corner of the place i'm bored as hell
____ : alright
as jisung exits the messaging app, he turns off his phone and smiles. "hope it goes well with hyunjjn, felix."
