as seungmin stands in the hall, he immediately messages hiro that things will take longer than expected. it was quite odd how his older brother was already aware that it would have, he didn't even seem to mind.

his lack of courage was holding him back, his desire was growing stronger, but surely if he didn't work things out his wishes would no longer be able to become a reality. he needed to speak. seungmin was more than a professional when it came to that, but when it came to feelings and underlying emotions they were held safe within his own heart. though with this acknowledgment, he was aware that this internal problem would place hurdles in front of him.

yet, now he needed to jump. hyunjin simply slipped out of his own hands because he couldn't state the clear words that the boy wanted to hear. if he didn't chase him now, he believed things would take an awkward turn for their relationship. it could be true, could be not. but the brunette didn't want to risk anything. so as he sends the message in a flash, he retraces hyunjin's steps and follows the invisible trail that he has left. he wasn't too far, his own heart was beating so fast he couldn't help but over exaggerate his movements. he yells out, "hyunjin!" catching his attention, the boy was on his way back to the lunch room but immediately turns around once he hears his voice. "wait!"

hyunjin stops, watching as seungmin catches up to him seconds later. he's panting, the rose color blush that was set across his face was not only from embarrassment, but from the unexpected exercise, "I—I...I can't end it this way!"

"what do you mean "end it" min?" as he chuckles, using finger quotations as he speaks. "take your time and—"

"I already know what I want!" he cuts off, feeling a bit too bold. "it's just...you and I. I want things to work out, I really do. I was afraid if I didn't say things now, time would pass and something would have happened. this is a chance that should be taken...I won't forgive myself if I don't do anything..."

"so.." as hyunjin looks around, a couple students pass as their conversation is awkwardly held in the middle of the hall. "it's a yes..?" he whispers.

he nods slowly, hyunjin's eyes twinkled yet seungmin couldn't compare the sight to the night sky because it simply was too beautiful to create that parallelism. "it's a yes..let's try this again okay? this time, we're romantically involved with each other."

as his heart almost bursted when the word was emphasized, hyunjin reaches for seungmin's hand. "hwang hyunjin and kim seungmin, relationship; boyfriends." seungmin smiles from the last word that slips hyunjin's mouth, repeating it softly. boyfriends.

though hyunjin was able to predict a hot boy would end han jisung's streak of 'never ending hatred', he was definitely not expecting this for his own story.

END
190726

yikes, this ending was shitty.
I wanted to just do the minsung
confession and then the boys telling
the others — then bam end, but I
felt seungjin had potential so yuh
sorry for the lack; or more of no
changlix ! I honestly was hooked
in writing this book but now it's
july and I'm like FINISHH IT

I'm somewhat changing my style
of writing as well, if any of you
are reading "Homebody" (minsung)
or "Shades of Red" (changlix) the chapters
are much more longer and are
a bit more detailed than usual.

but thank you guys so much for
reading this story and I hope
you enjoyed it even if the ending
was rushed! my apologizes, like
seriously it's bad. but thank you
angels and take care of yourselves
because a bunch of people love you! ❤️
