Ever since they've returned pinky to its family and heading south to start life of fresh, the herd had been living in a valley with a bunch of other mammals, which Hazel found really strange since she was a saber, thus been a predator towards them. She wondered if Diego felt the same about it.
The sun had been really beating down on them recently, which caused a few formations within the ice, but it turn into a pool like area for mammals to play in. Hazel felt a little envious, watching everyone have fun in the pool within the sidelines as she didn't know how to swim, or at least be a strong swimmer. She never knew why exactly, maybe it was natural for her species?
She shook the thoughts out, and looked around from her spot, trying to find the mammals she'd familiarised herself with. She only saw Manny resting in some nearby shade, looking around at the scenery. She couldn't see Diego or Sid anywhere. She decided to ask the mammoth if he'd seen either one before exploring.
"Mannny~" She called out, walking towards him. "Do you know where Sid or Diego are? I haven't seen any of them."
Silence filled between them as no response came from the mammoth.
"Manny?" She walked around him to face him.
"Manny?!" He had a faraway look in his eyes, seemingly trapped inside his own thoughts.
"Manny!!"
"Huh?!" He jolted up, looking around frantically before noticing Hazel beside him.
"Are..." She eyed him up and down before continuing softly, "-are you okay?"
"Y-yeah, I'm fine, just a little distracted." Manny got up from the ground.
"If you say so..." The female saber sighed loudly before looking back up at him; "have you seen Sid?"
"Uh," Manny looked around, "-don't know, probably trying to find a mate."
Hazel nodded to the comment. From what she'd seen, there was some sloths around, so it wouldn't surprise her if he was doing that. She was about to ask about Diego but saw him in the corner of her eye and he soon noticed them too.
"Hey Diego!!" She called out, getting his attention and he ran over towards them before she questioned "Have you seen Sid?"
"Oh I have," Diego replied before smiling smugly. "He's getting attacked by kids."
"Attacked by kids?" Hazel nodded, exchanging smirks with him. "Sounds like a view."
"As much as I love seeing Sid getting tortured," Manny began sarcastically. "It's best if we help him out, he's already getting dominated by kids."
"Well they have him tied up to a tree by his foot." Diego informed. "Don't know if they moved on or not."
"They're kids." Hazel chuckled. "They tackle like there's no end."
They both soon followed Manny to find their sloth friend.
[ Time skip as they travel from the regular poolside to the kiddie poolside ]
The three walked into the kiddies poolside to see Sid getting pummeled into the ground by the kids around him.
Ashley, was the one doing the deed, immediately stood back when she saw the group as Manny spoke.
"Hey hey whoa, who said you kids could torture the sloth?" He questioned, looking down at them.
"Manny, don't squash their creativity." Diego smirked as Hazel looked down at the sloth.
She felt sorry for him, but she would be lying if she didn't find it somewhat entertaining.
"Hey Manny, Hazel, Diego!" Sid called out happily, "My bad mammal jammals, wanna give a sloth a hand?"
