so i wore them today to dinner and my dad was like "aRe tHoSe KpOp SoCkS?!1?2!" and i was like, "how are they kpop socks? they say fruity" and my dad says, "is fruity still slang?" and i was very confused and was like, "huh?" and he goes, "fruity was slang for gay back in the day" and i did an 'and i oop'. so i say, "is that why theyre rainbow?" (i bought them because i wanted rainbow socks because... gay pride) and he was like, "probably. are you gonna stop wearing them?" and i was like "hell no! i love these socks." and like now that i think about it i should have known my brother was gay waaaay sooner because his insta used to be vfruity (its not anymore) and he got a rainbow beanie for his birthday from a friend (i wore it to school and accidentally lost it😔 rip) but my brother being gay is a story for another time.
but this isnt the first time my parents were like "u gay my guy?" because the other day my mom and i were going shopping and she asks, "so are the boys nice to you?" (talking about her friend's sons) and i was like, "nah". and she says, "are any boys nice to you?" and i said, "nah". and she goes, "are you interested in boys?" and i was like, "wut?" and she said, "do you like boys rather than girls?" and i didn't know how to answer that because uh hello that was random and its my mom, so i just went, "uhhhh idk man" and she says something that made me go off a little which was, "i think you are straight because you like those korean boys" and i started basically ranting about how i stanned both boy, and girl groups and how i stanned more girl groups because there are more girl groups and she went silent soooo. then she was like, "i dont care if you are gay" and i was like, "mom drop it." so she did.
